The end of the month of January, at the start of the year 2014, witnessed a significant rise in the injustices carried out by the Russian state against Muslims in Tatarstan, and the arrest of dozens of Muslims there. The arrested Shabab were exposed to torture and placed in the prisons of Tchewskaya Nizhnekamsk, where the Russian security forces commit illegal acts of repression and torture against Muslims in general and against the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir in particular. Therefore, a delegation from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey headed to the Russian embassy in support of their Muslim Brothers in Tatarstan, in order to utter the word of truth against the Russian injustice, and submitted a request to meet with the Russian ambassador to discuss these grievances.
When the delegation’s request was met with rejection, the delegation handed over the statement issued by Hizb ut Tahrir / Russia to the embassy officials, which is entitled “The Security Services in Tatarstan Harshly Oppress Muslims” in Russian, Arabic, Turkish and English. The mentioned statement contained the words:
“The arrival of the Muslims to power with the best system of governance (the Khilafah system) will teach immediate historical lessons to the corrupt that reject the truth. Such are the corrupt and the criminals who will always stand against Islam, even if it violates their own laws. They are weak in the face of the truth and Islam, which is close to every sane thinker, Russian or Arab. This universe belongs to one Creator, the One who sent His Messenger Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم as a mercy to mankind with the message of Islam: the Qur’an, the Sunnah and the sources they refer to.
Anyone who proclaims this publically will be arrested; will be branded as a fundamentalist and a murderer; will be imprisoned and his family, sons, daughters and relatives will be subjected to harm by the rulers of Russia.
We ask Allah to help us and make us steadfast in carrying His message, to make our work purely for His سبحانه وتعالى sake, and that He accepts it from us in a beautiful reception.
Oh Allah, the Merciful, bless the Muslim Ummah –

“the best Ummah brought out for mankind”
with the fulfilment of Your glorious, empowering, urgent victory!”
We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey curse the Russian authorities for these unjust practices they carry out, and remind them that they will be held accountable by the rightly guided Khilafah that will be established soon, Allah willing, for all the grievances they caused the Muslims!
