As reported in Aljazeera on 01-April-17, new legislation took effect in Xinjiang on 01-Apr-17 which lists a wide range of restrictions, including rejecting or refusing “radio, television or other public facilities and services”, marrying using religious rather than legal procedures and “using the name of Halal to meddle in secular life of others”. The rules also ban not allowing children to attend government schools, not abiding by family planning policies, wearing robes that cover the whole body and face and “abnormal growing of beards and naming of children to exaggerate religious fervour”, according to the text of the rules published on a government website.

Earlier some of the above listed restrictions against the Uyghur Muslims were used in selected areas; however, this latest legislation applies to whole of East Turkistan (Aka Xinjiang). The Chinese atheist regime is one of the most oppressive regimes across the globe which has not only been forcefully suppressing the political Islam, even the Islamic rituals have not been spared. China in 1949 forcefully occupied East Turkistan and renamed it Xinjiang; and thereafter under the pretext of countering extremism has been suppressing the Muslims of this region. China since long has been in a spot of bother with the political unrest in Xinjiang province which is home to 10 million Muslims. These latest measures of banning Islamic rituals reflect the sheer desperation of the Chinese regime against the rising adherence to Islam by the Muslims of the region and their resistance movement for freeing themselves from the shackles of Chinese occupiers.
Many Uyghur Muslims have fled to the bordering region of Pakistan and Afghanistan and a few to other parts of world to evade these oppressions. However China is incentivizing and pressurizing other regimes to deport or kill the Uyghur Muslims who have somehow managed to escape these brutalities. A report published in Aljazeera dt: 18-Feb-15, reveals such agreement reached between China and the Kabul regime whereby many of the Uyghur’s Muslims were deported back to China. As for Pakistan which has a formidable army and possesses nuclear weapons, the successive regimes have been at forefront in aiding and covering the Chinese brutalities.
As reported in Dawn dt: 08-04-16, Meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping in the Great Hall of the People, President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain said Operation Zarb-i-Azb “has been successful in eradicating the terrorism from our country”.”It has also been very helpful in eliminating the ETIM (East Turkestan Islamic Movement) element from our country and I think almost all the ETIM people in our country have been eliminated. Maybe, if they are there, there should be very few“.
Moreover in countering these Uyghur resistance, China and Pakistan has been engaged in several military training programmers like Pakistan-China Joint Special Forces exercise, ‘YOUYI-VI 2016’ in Oct`16, and have also included other countries in this endeavor like as reported in Dawn dt: 04-Aug-16, “The inaugural high-level meeting on Quadrilateral Cooperation and Coordination Mechanism in counterterrorism by Afghanistan – China – Pakistan – Tajikistan armed forces/ militaries was held in Urumqi, Xingjian Uygur autonomous region, China, on 3rd August 2016,” ISPR said in a statement.
The shameless regime in Pakistan and across the Muslim world does not even utter a word of protests against the suppression of Uyghur Muslims at the hands of brutal Chinese regime. Anyone who has a heart, hearing and sight can comprehend that the Muslims have lost the caretaker who looks after their affairs. Without our shield, the Islamic Lands are considered as a place only for the spilling of the pure blood of the elderly, women and children, a place for distress calls from the bereaved, for division and dismemberment and for control by enemies and allies alike. They have lost the Imam who protects them and behind whom they fight, as RasulAllah ﷺ said, «إنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ» “The Imam is a shield, behind him you fight and by him you are protected.” (Muslim)
The sincere army officers must rise up to the occasion in answering the call of the oppressed Uyghur Muslim. They must over-throw these stone-hearted Muslim rulers who have allowed the Chinese regimes to suppress these Muslims and grant nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir for establishing Khilafah. It is the Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of Prophethood which will liberate the Muslims of East Turkistan from the shackles of the ruthless Chinese regime and defend the blood of Muslims across the globe. Allah (swt) in Surah an-Nisa says:
وَمَا لَكُمْ لاَ تُقَاتِلُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ ٱلرِّجَالِ وَٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلْوِلْدَانِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَآ أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَـٰذِهِ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ ٱلظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَٱجْعَلْ لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنْكَ وَلِيّاً وَٱجْعَلْ لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنْكَ نَصِيراً
“And what is [the matter] with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and [for] the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, “Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?”
(An-Nisaa, 4:75)
