French President Francois Hollande on Saturday (14/11) declared three days of national mourning following the deadly Paris attacks. He described as acts of “absolute barbarity” the assault that killed more than 120 people. This incident also invites strong reactions from the world leaders, including Muslim leaders like Erdogan and Jokowi who gave their statement of condolences just before the G-20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey.

Dramatic reactions of the world leaders addressing the Paris attack is very interesting to be examined. The bloody attacks that killed nearly 130 people and injured more than 350 people in Paris have been making the world uproar. However it seems the world leaders particularly the Muslim authorities were forgetting that throughout 2014 thousands of Muslims killed by ISIS in Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria; and this does not include more than 107,902 Muslims who were killed and 17 million Muslims expelled from their countries to evacuate, due to the multiple crises and oppressions across the Muslim world.

The question is WHY there is no single political authority in the Muslim world which sets these prolonged tragedies as a time of mourning for Muslims? What authority will protect and defend the blood and honor of the Muslims when Muslim rulers themselves were even more sympathetic to the suffering of Western countries compared to the suffering of their own people? No wonder because they are only puppet rulers – colonial remnants of the Western capitalist countries – who aborted their political identity by the world order today that worships secularism.

Theatre opinions which produced to response the attacks in Paris are clearly a part of cheap black campaign against the Islam ideology. The Western standard of “humanity” is merely a strategy to control Muslim lands. It is clear that the Muslims have been victims and targets of various forms of oppression done by the Kuffar countries and their cronies. The practices of slaughter and repression in Myanmar, Gaza, Syria, Central Africa, Xinjiang, Pattani, Mindanao, are the indisputable proof!

The real authority for the Ummah of Muhammad ﷺ is the political leadership under the Khilafah, Islam which is a true shield for Muslims who not only grieving on this various tragedy, but also will mobilize the power to eliminate evil Kuffar hegemony over Muslims, protect the honor of Muslim women and children throughout the Islamic world. Recall the words of the Prophet ﷺ:

«إِنَّمَا الإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ»

“Indeed the Imam (Khaleefah) is a shield from behind whom (one) would fight and one would protect oneself…” (Narrated by Muslim)
