Following the distribution of a Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Sudan leaflet entitled: “The Gold Glitter Fund is an Invalid Capitalist Company; to buy its Bonds and own its Proceeds is forbidden.” The security authorities in Al-Obeid city -capital of North Kordofan- arrested the two brothers, Suleiman Hamdan and Salah Abdul Aziz, from Al-Beri Port Mosque in Al-Obeid city, during the distribution of the leaflet, after Friday prayers. They were still in detention at the time of writing this statement.

In light of this disgraceful behavior, Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah of Sudan state the following facts:

First: Hizb ut Tahrir distributed this leaflet widely after Friday prayer on 19/10/2018, in the mosques of the capital and the provinces, as part of the campaign of Real Change is an Obligation and a Promise.

Second: The purpose of this leaflet is to clarify the Shari’ah ruling concerning the truth of the gold glitter fund, in response to the command of Allah (swt): إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَا أَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالْهُدَى مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّاهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِي الْكِتَابِ أُولَئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللاعِنُونَ “Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture – those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse” [Al-Baqara: 159].

So that we will not be those who conceal the truth after we know it.

Thirdly: Hizb ut Tahrir, is a political party, its ideology is Islam, and works among the Ummah and with it to resume the Islamic way life by establishing the Khilafah Rashida (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood. It is our duty to seek the truth and work for change on the basis of the great Islam. To show the people the rules of Islam, so that they work for Islam with full knowledge and awareness, with understanding of the truth of their reality based on non-Islam so as not to fall into evil and falsehood.

Fourthly: The fact that the security authorities arrest those who enjoin the good and forbid the evil, they are obstructing the path of Allah, and do not seek the Straight Path, which is the work of those who are astray, just like the saying of Allah (swt) in His Noble Book: الَّذِينَ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا عَلَى الآخِرَةِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَيَبْغُونَهَا عِوَجاً أُولَئِكَ فِي ضَلالٍ بَعِيدٍ “The ones who prefer the worldly life over the Hereafter and avert [people] from the way of Allah, seeking to make it (seem) deviant. Those are in extreme error” [Ibrahim: 3].

Therefore, we warn the authority from the consequences of obstructing the path of Allah, and we demand the release of the two arrested honourable brothers immediately, and to apologize to Allah first, then to them, for this despicable act!!

In conclusion: to this government, which accepted to follow the Kufr law of the West, and establish its companies on the basis of false capitalism, and implement the IMF’s guidelines, we say:

We in Hizb ut Tahrir will proceed with the determination of men, and the truthfulness of the sincere believers, Allah willing, in the path of real change, which is an obligation and a promise. We do not care about arrests, and do not fear detention or death. We will proceed until Allah blesses the Ummah with the second Khilafah Rashida (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood that its time has come, by the permission of Allah. وَيَوْمَئِذٍ يَفْرَحُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ * بِنَصْرِ اللَّهِ يَنْصُرُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ “And that day the believers will rejoice * In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful” [Ar-Rum: 4-5].
