US preaches false liberal values for others but chooses militaristic imperialism for itself over Venezuela
The secular West never tires of preaching to the rest of the world to adopt its atheistic values of freedom and democracy. But the West itself remains driven by material benefit and is ready to compromise these liberal values whenever it wishes. According to Politico:
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Thursday that the Trump administration “will simply not rule out” military action in Venezuela. And on Friday, Trump administration officials met for the second day in a row at the Pentagon to discuss options for toppling the country’s embattled autocratic leader. Speaking to reporters back in March, national security adviser John Bolton held a yellow notepad with a line of text conspicuously visible: “5,000 troops to Colombia,” he had written.
Together, the actions and planning meetings — one of them held in “the Tank,” the Pentagon’s most secure room — are part of a threatening drumbeat aimed at Nicolás Maduro, who, U.S. officials say, may be on the brink of ouster.
“The time for talking is over,” Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) said in a Friday statement. “The safety and security of our nation depend on this fight.”
“Where is our aircraft carrier?” tweeted Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a close Trump ally.
It may be, as the article goes on to suggest, that the US is simply threatening without intending to follow this up with actual military force. But the threat remains credible because the US is well-known to engage in such actions whenever it chooses.
The West has become used to viewing values such as freedom and democracy as ‘ideals’ that are known to not be practical in all situations; therefore, it considers departing from its ‘ideals’ as legitimate and justifies such exceptions as essential to maintain freedom and democracy in the rest of its practice. This is in stark contrast to Islam, whose divine rules are fully applicable in every situation and do not require corrections or deviation. This is because they are designed by the Creator of man, who knows fully man’s essential nature and also knows every situation that man is to face on this earth right up until its end.
America Reneging on Two State Solution in order to Eliminate Idea of Palestine
All Western attempts to implant the artificial Jewish entity on Muslim lands has thus far failed because of Palestinian opposition so America, under the Trump administration, is embarking on a new plan to cancel the very idea of Palestine.
According to al Jazeera:
Jared Kushner has revealed new contours of the upcoming US peace plan for the Middle East, indicating that it will pull back from long-standing mentions of a two-state solution with the Palestinians and accept Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
Kushner, the son-in-law and senior adviser to President Donald Trump, is expected next month to present a long-awaited deal on behalf of the US administration, which has closely aligned itself with Israel.
Vowing to take a fresh approach, Kushner on Thursday gave the administration’s strongest indication yet that the plan will not propose two states for Israelis and Palestinians – for decades the US-backed goal in marathon peace talks.
The two state solution pursued until now called for a Jewish entity side by side with a reduced Palestinian entity both coexisting on the land of the Blessed Land – Palestine. But even this shrunken Palestinian state remains a platform for Muslim opposition to the Jewish occupation. So America is embarking on a new approach, which is to eliminate the very idea of a Palestinian state, quite possibly by partitioning remaining Palestinian land between the Jewish entity and neighbouring Arab states, who oppressively crush any internal movement in genuine opposition to foreign colonialism or its Jewish proxy.
The problem of Palestine will not be solved until Muslims overthrow their existing regimes, controlled by a ruling class that is heart and mind in service of its Western masters. Once Muslims take charge of their own affairs, the very small Jewish entity in Palestine can be eliminated almost as easily as one squats an irritating mosquito, and the Jews that so desire can once again enjoy peace and prosperity under Islamic rule, as they did previously for more than a millennium.
European Council President Compares American Tech Giants to Totalitarian States
According to Reuters:
The world needs to be wary of the rise of tech giants such as Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon, comparing their powers to those of countries such as China, European Council President Donald Tusk said in Warsaw on Friday.
“In the East, we see the rise of those capable of controlling everyone’s behavior, and in the West we’ve seen the rise of an uncontrolled, spontaneous empire,” Tusk said in Warsaw in reference to the companies during a speech marking Constitution Day.
“Our children are dependent on the internet and everyday will become more dependent on it,” he added.
The European Union has been in the forefront of efforts to tighten control on how social media companies handle the personal data of consumers, with rules introduced last May giving regulators the power to impose fines of up to 4 percent of global revenue for violations.
After decades of decrying totalitarian states such as those of Nazi, Fascist and Communist regimes, the ‘liberal’ West is itself increasingly adopting totalitarian practises, seeking to centrally monitor and control each and every aspect of their citizens’ behaviour. Europe is as far advanced in this project as is America but the fear of politicians such as European Council President Donald Tusk is that European governments will not have as much power over their own citizens as America because of America’s ability to use its globally-dominant technology multinationals.
Only Islam can truly prevent totalitarianism by circumscribing government power, through unchangeable divine rules fixed by the revealed texts of the Qur’an and Sunnah. Allah (swt) says in the Noble Qur’an: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا وَلَا يَغْتَب بَّعْضُكُم بَعْضًا أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَن يَأْكُلَ لَحْمَ أَخِيهِ مَيْتًا فَكَرِهْتُمُوهُ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ رَّحِيمٌ “O you who have believed, avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful.” [al-Hujarat:12]
And the Prophet ﷺ said in one narration: «وَمَنِ اسْتَمَعَ إِلَى حَدِيثِ قَوْمٍ وَهُمْ لَهُ كَارِهُونَ، أَوْ يَفِرُّونَ مِنْهُ، صُبَّ فِي أُذُنِهِ الآنُكُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَة» “Whoever listens in on other people’s conversations when they do not like that will have molten lead poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection.” [Bukhari: 7042]
And one of the righteous Muslim Khulafah, Omar ibn Abd’al-Azeez (may Allah be please with him) said to someone who reported some malicious gossip to him:
“If you wish, we can look into the matter. If you are lying, you will be one of the people mentioned in the verse إِن جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ ‘If a Faasiq (liar — evil person) comes to you with any news’ [al-Hujuraat 49:6 – interpretation of the meaning]; and if you are telling the truth, you will be one of the people mentioned in the verse, هَمَّازٍ مَّشَّاءٍ بِنَمِيمٍ ‘A slanderer, going about with calumnies’ [al-Qalam 68:11 – interpretation of the meaning]. Or if you wish, we will forgive you.” He said, “Forgive me, O Ameer al-Mu’mineen, I will never do it again.”
