Russian opposition newspaper,Novaya Gazeta, published the article with information about mass execution of Chechnya citizens. “That was an execution. On the 26th of January night dozens of men were shot — secretly, without any indictments. We publish the names of this 27 killed men. The list is incomplete”, — is written in the article.

In December 2016 in the capital of Chechnya, Grozny, there was carried out an armed attack against policemen and four policemen were shot. Later, during the counter-terrorist operation, the president of the Chechen Republic, A. Kadyrov, reported about seven killed attackers and four detainees, three of whom were in the hospital. A week later all detainees, one of whom was an eighteen year old girl, were killed by the authorities.
The attack on the police became a reason of brutal reaction from the authorities, who began to pursue the relatives of the attackers. According to the Novaya Gazeta, by the end of January, about 200 people were arrested. Arrested people were not registered in police stations, but were taken to cellars where they were tortured. According to various sources of information from twenty-five to fifty-five people were executed without any trial and investigation.
The Human Rights Center, Memorial, confirmed this information about mass detentions of people and about persons from the list of killed that was published by Novaya Gazeta. Member of the board of Memorial, Oleg Orlov, says that four of six men did not return home. “There are serious reasons to believe that you correctly indicate the fate of these 27 people, most likely that they are no longer alive. We did not have enough time to check the other person”, said Orlov.
The appeals of human rights center, Memorial, and independent media outlets with requests of investigation of this massacre against citizens of Chechnya both to the Chechen and Russian officials remained unanswered. The press secretary of Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, commented information about the execution of civilians: “Yes, we saw these reports, which were published in one of the newspapers, we took note of them, we also took note of the refutations of this information that were made by officials of ministry of internal affairs of Chechen Republic”.
Such information about arrests, tortures, murders and kidnappings in Chechnya are often leaked to media outlets. Kremlin, as the supreme power in the Russian Federation which appointed a traitor Kadyrov to rule the Chechnya, supports fully it’s protege in his methods of punishing people.
Moreover, Kadyrov was given a full carte blanche, the so-called “a license to kill”, i.e. unlike to all other Russian creatures in Muslim regions, he is allowed to commit much more daring crimes against Muslims: He can torture and kill anybody without any trial and investigation, and all this takes place under the pretext of war against terrorism and extremism. Chechen people live in an atmosphere of fear. People simply leave the country if they can. The evidence of this is the huge number of refugees from Chechnya who settled in Europe and fled from the persecution and threats of the Kremlin appointee Kadyrov.
Why Kadyrov is allowed not to hesitate to say what he wants and clearly and publicly act in contradiction with the Russian legislation? Kadyrov calls the Russian judges Shaitans and threatens to shoot any policeman arriving from another region to Chechnya. But all these actions are forgiven to him by Kremlin that never can be forgiven to anyone else in Russia. It is obvious that the Kremlin well remembers the past — two chechen wars. Russin authorities were forced to sign a shameful peace treaty after the First Chechen war, and the Second Chechen war cost Russia thousands of dead soldiers. Kremlin worries about this and does not want the beginning of the Third Chechen war.
In order to prevent the outbreak of a new war in Chechnya, Kremlin appointed Kadyrov who will get away with everything, including extrajudicial executions, kidnappings and persecution of every person who will call to real Islam in Chechnya.
Yes, Kadyrov positions himself as a Muslim. He organized a rally in defense of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, stood against the ban of the Quran in the Russian Federation, and built a large mosque in the center of Grozny etc. But Muslims should not be deceived by Kadyrov’s ostentatious actions! Are the blood, honor and possessions of Muslims permissible for this tyrant!? Kadyrov confiscates houses and evicts from the cities of the relatives of those who are accused of terrorism and extremism. Relatives and friends of those who are accused of terrorism and extremism are being kidnapped. Also, criminal cases are fabricated against such a people.
Allah said in His Noble Book:
وَمَن يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا
“But whoever kills a believer intentionally – his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him and has cursed him and has prepared for him a great punishment”
(An-Nisaa, 4:93)
And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: «لزوال الدنيا أهون عند الله من قتل مؤمن بغير حق» “Extinction of all the world is easier for Allah than murder of Muslim” (an-Nasai).
Oh Muslims! Work with Hizb ut Tahrir on establishing the Righteous Khilafah State (Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood that will relieve us from the tyranny of such despots and their patrons, and will bring peace to our lands. Then, Muslims will live according to their religion while not being at the mercy of the oppressors. May Allah help us.
