(مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً)

“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.”
[TMQ Al-Ahzab 23]

Believing in Allah‘s decree and predestination, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia mourns for Muslims in general, and for the people of Tunisia in particular, one of its Shabab, Ustaadh Hatem El-Khiari, who submitted his soul at the age of 50 to its Creator on Friday night, 13/05/2022, during which the deceased was a dawah carrier and a worker towards the resumption of the Islamic way of life by establishing the Khilafah Rashidah (the rightly-guided Caliphate) state upon the method of the Prophethood, we do not commend him to his Lord, but he was pious, pure, compassionate, generous, memorising the Book of Allah, as he also, may Allah have mercy on him, spoke the truth, challenged the oppressors, raising his voice in their faces in the cause of Allah and the call of His Messenger, peace be upon him, and he had distinguished lectures that he gave at several events for Hizb ut Tahrir.

We ask Allah the Almighty to cover him with the vastness of his mercy, and to gather him with the prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs and the righteous, and those are indeed the good companions.

The eyes shed tears, the heart grieves, and we are saddened by your separation, our brother Hazem, and we only say what pleases our Lord:

(إنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ)

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return”
[TMQ Al-Baqarah: 156].
