Despite the PA’s Misleading and Oppressive Measures to prevent it
Thousands of residents in Al-Khalil took part in the picket that was announced by Al Tamim and dignitaries and the tribes of Al-Khalil in their meeting held in the council of Al Tamim on Monday, 30/01/2017, in protest against the decision of the PA (Palestinian Authority) to give ownership of 72 dunums of the Waqf Land of the noble companion Tamim Ad-Dari to the Russians, this land was given to the companion by the Prophet ﷺ for him and his descendants, the land is owned by the families of Al Tamim until the Day of Judgment.
President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas ordered the registration of the land for the Russians on 4/1/2017 despite the fact that there is a decision from the Supreme Court of Justice in Ramallah dated 23/6/2016 to stop all proceedings relating to the decision of the PA granting ownership of this land. This based on the case made by Al Tamim in protest to the sinful decision. The date of the second session to review the issue is 24/1/2017, i.e. that the decision of ownership and registration issued by the PA preceded the Supreme Court’s decisions and disregarded it.
We in Hizb ut Tahrir in Palestine have supported Al Tamim and the tribes of Al-Khalil in the courts and in their mass mobilization, and we deplore the vicious attack of the PA’s security force against the participants in the peaceful picket, who arrested dozens of them at the barriers that they put on the entrances and main junctions of the city, in addition to the use of sound and tear gas bombs in a failed attempt to disperse the picket.
We also condemn the campaign of disinformation, lies and false rumors and intimidation carried out by the PA to prevent the picket with the assistance of personalities and journalists who have sold their Akhira for the Dunya of others, under various names, and they issued statements on their behalf, although they did not participate in the meetings of Al Tamim and did not follow the court hearings that were held on the issue, but they consented to have partnership with the head of the PA in crime of forsaking the Waqf land to the enemies of Allah, the Russians.
The PA claimed that it was Hizb ut Tahrir who called for the picket, so that it is not exposed as confronting the movement of the tribes in Al-Khalil supporting the family of Tamim that is condemning it forsaking of the Waqf land (endowment) for the benefit of the Russians, and it is trying reduce the case as a property leased to the church since hundred years ago, ignoring the ownership’s decision, which includes 72 dunums of land endowment and registering it under the name of the Russian Church in the department of lands in Al-Khalil, demanding to go to court to pursue the case even though the head of the PA has disregarded the Supreme Court’s decisions.
Hizb ut Tahrir in Palestine supports and stands with the tribes of Al-Khalil and the family of Tamim, who participated in the picket despite of all the difficulties, barriers, arrests and threatening letters sent by the security services on mobile phones, they showed the PA their firm and clear stance on the ownership decision issued by the President the PA; that it is unacceptable. The PA should stop and retract from its crime and return the land to its owners or they will suffer shame and humiliation in this world and the greatest and most horrible punishment in the Hereafter, if they knew.
لِنُذِيقَهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَعَذَابُ الْآخِرَةِ أَخْزَى وَهُمْ لَا يُنْصَرُون
“to make them taste the punishment of disgrace in the worldly life; but the punishment of the Hereafter is more disgracing, and they will not be helped”
