The Prime Minister, Imran Khan, on Friday 14 June 2019, stressed the importance of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), in a multipolar world as he addressed world leaders at the summit. Addressing, the formal session of the 19th meeting of the Council of the Heads of State of SCO in Bishkek, the premier stated the world is standing at a crossroads and the “advent of a multipolar global order” is being witnessed.
After the destruction of communism and its state USSR, we have been witnessing a world with the United States as the unchallenged leading state. The political and military leadership of Pakistan had adopted a position that such a “unipolar” world forced them to surrender to the US demands completely. However, they now say that China has become the second largest economy of the world and Russia is indulging in some global affairs and so things are moving towards a “multipolar” world once again. They claim that during the challenge from USSR, the US was not so arrogant and listened to our concerns and requirements because the world was not “unipolar.” So, today the political and military leadership pretends that they are realigning Pakistan and taking it away step by step away from the US orbit. In order, to convince us they cite the CPEC and JF-17 projects with China and increased military relations with Russia. Now, they are using the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) to project this image.
However, it is clear from the actions of the political and military leadership of Pakistan that the so-called realignment is just to cover their slavery to the US and betrayal of the Muslims of Pakistan. Any proximity to Russia and China is with US approval. Even if we take this matter on its face value, we can surely say that leaving the shade of one kafir colonialist state and taking refuge in that of another kafir colonialist state, will not make Pakistan strong. Instead Pakistan will remain as a client state which sacrifices its capabilities and resources in order to secure the interests of major powers. The history of Pakistan is evident that alliance with the Kuffar is a great harm, even whether there is an unchallenged leading state. Outside of a “unipolar” world, Pakistan was cut in to two states. Under a “unipolar” world, Pakistan abandoned Afghanistan and Occupied Kashmir for US interests.
Pakistan’s current political and military leadership indulge in the same sins the previous rulers, even whilst making claims of following the model of the State of Madina. They grip firmly to their alliances with kafir enemies that despise our Deen and oppress Muslims, even though Allah (swt) said, إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمْ اللَّهُ عَنْ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَى إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ “Allah forbids your alliance with those who fight you because of your Deen, and drive you from your homelands, or aid others to do so: and as for those who turn to them in alliance, they are truly oppressors.” [Surah al-Mumtahina 60:9]. The State of Madina never made military alliances with the kafir major powers of her time, the Persian and the Roman Empires, to confront the Kuffar of Makkah. Instead, it challenged the major powers, whilst only seeking Help from Allah (swt). It carried the intellectual leadership of Islam to the whole world by Dawah and Jihad, without compromising a single command of Islam. Making alliance with Russia and China, who are open enemies of Islam and Muslims, will never make Pakistan a strong state like Madinah. If the current political and military leadership of Pakistan truly wants to follow the model of the Madinah state than they have to follow the command of Allah (swt).
