Last Friday, an American drone strike on a funeral procession, in Alisheer district of Khost Province, killed over 30 Muslims of Afghanistan. Different conflicting narratives came up with regards to this tragic incident. The interesting being the appalling silence of the current regime and the press release issued by the office of the Former President Hamid Karzai, condemning it in strong words. This press release provoked the political hustlers of the current regime, who wanted to conceal this barbaric incident and show it as if some “terrorists” were targeted. They took notice of the killing when some senior members of the Wolasi Jirga, such as Farida Kochai and Haidar Khan Naeem admitted the happening of the incident and said that local people were being targeted. After this, members of the Parliament warned U.S. that if such attacks continued and if the government fail to take strong notice of it, they would annul the security pact with U.S.
Obama on the first day of this year announced that the combat role of the military in Afghanistan is finished, yet from that day onwards he accelerated in the killing people through drone attacks. Every day the US military are raiding on people’s houses and are arresting, torturing them in Bigram prison, majority being the innocent people.
The Media Office of the Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Afghanistan wants to demonstrate to the Ummah that these rulers are equal partners in crimes with these ruthless invaders, both tormenting the lives of this noble Ummah. The Hamid Karzai regime like this regime was forced upon the people through parachute landing, and he too gave our blood to his master to appease him and signed a strategic pact with U.S., as well as he has tried to create public opinion for signing the security pact, to the extent that when John Kerry put in place this new regime, it hardly took 24 hours for Ashraf Ghani/Abdullah Abdullah to sign the security pact without any hassle. Hence, Karzai’s condemnation and the condemnations from other government officials or parliament are nothing but a ploy to play with the emotions of people and as a result get maximum incentives from their colonial masters.
