What good is an apology? Will it restore the honour and remove the days of reconciliation? Why do they apologize in the name of all the Lebanese people, is the general public demanded to apologize for the one who has been framed? Why did they not demand the transparent investigation in all cases?

Everyone is sure that hundreds of Islamists are arrested and false accusations against them were fabricated. And if the lawsuit of Ziad Itani was reopened and the truth came forth in one file, would the arrested Islamist get justice and the truth of their accusations be revealed?

Everyone knows that a faction from the security service, Lahad army, and some generals betrayed Lebanon and colluded with the Jewish entity for years and participated in killing many Lebanese. They have not been punished by great treason, which entails execution; actually many of them have had their penalty reduced. There is the case of the agent General Fayez Karam, 17 years of treason and agency, leaking secrets and participation in killing innocent people yet was imprisoned for only 20 months!

Everyone knows that the criminals are from Iran’s Hezb, who were killed by the army are beyond accountability and what about the crime of killing the pilot from the army far from our sight.

Moreover, everyone has heard the major political leaders in the country demand a sweeping pardon on behalf of thousands of agents, drug dealers and kidnappers except for the arrested oppressed Islamists! What a shocking regime!! Indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is truthful when he said, «إذَا لَمْ تَسْتَحِ فَاصْنَعْ مَا شِئْت» “If you are not ashamed then do what you please”.

Ziad Itani was accused of agency for the Jewish entity and was detained for months and forced confessions to actions he did not commit were coerced from him, but after investigation was re-conducted it became clear that he was innocent of all the accusations and that some superiors in one of the security apparatus fabricated the accusations because of his political views. He was lucky that the investigation of his case was redone and that some criminals and fabricators were discovered. The information suggest that one of the accused of fabrication is the presenter Susan Al-Hajj Habish, the wife of the deputy’s brother, Hadi Habish, attached to the Future Movement and who demanded that the case be removed from the media, she was arrested while she was trying to travel with a forged passport. Maybe the desire to remove the case from the media was because some evildoers sought to cover up the scandal knowing that the removal of the media was not asked for when Itani was accused and arrested.

The scandal that exposed the truth of the corruption, which infringed on the dignity of people, requires:

• The reassignment and calling to account of the responsible politicians, security officers and judges.
• The transparent re-investigation of all cases, especially the terrorist accusations of the transgressions known by those near and far.
• Shedding light in the media on that case and investigation to uncover all the fabricators on their position.
• The politics of loosening the grip on the security services in Lebanon, which made the matters, reach this case of Itani and other cases that have yet to uncover the truths.
• When the political decision was reached in the case of Ziad Itani, all the concerned apparatuses executed it immediately, which indicates that what is stopping the release of the arrested oppressed Islamists is a political decision and not the false arguments reiterated by politicians for years.

Finally we remind that Islam has forbidden oppression and commanded the punishment of the oppressor and the support of the oppressed, if only the Sharia of Allah was implemented then corruption, fabrication and oppression would not exist.
