The Pakistan government fails to link Hizb ut-Tahrir with terrorism; the court releases 28 people on bail

As always, the government failed to prove its allegations of linking Hizb ut-Tahrir with terrorism. Hizb’s attorney challenged the government’s lawyer to bring a single line from the literature confiscated during the raid which promotes terrorism or sectarianism. On this the government lawyer asked for recess of an hour but even then failed to bring any substantial proof. Hence the Judge of the Anti-Terrorism Court released 28 members and supporters of Hizb ut-Tahrir on bail and observed that this type of weak cases should not be presented before him in the future.

For yet another time, the government fails to link Hizb ut-Tahrir with terrorism; the court releases 28 people on bail

Fearing Hizb’s popularity, the dictatorial regime of Musharraf proscribed Hizb ut-Tahrir in 2003 which was upheld of the democratic government of PPP. Whereas previously the Anti-Terrorist Court of Karachi had already passed the verdict that the ban on Hizb ut-Tahrir was “defective” since no cause had been mentioned while placing the ban on Hizb.

Furthermore Hizb’s writ challenging the ban is still pending before the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi bench for the last three and a half years. Hizb knows that whether it is dictatorship or democracy imperialist’s interests are always protected and it is for this reason Hizb ut-Tahrir is banned. We would like to declare this one more time that banning Hizb ut-Tahrir cannot stop us from continuing our non-violent political struggle for the establishment of the Khilafah.

This is why Hizb ut-Tahrir has emerged as the largest Islamic political party in the world which is working in more than forty countries with great preparedness and zeal. We would also like to give the Ummah this glad tiding that Hizb ut-Tahrir has entered its final stage of its struggle and by the Will of Allah she will give the good news of the establishment of the Khilafah to the Ummah very soon.
