The Muslims’ Response to the Plight of Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims shows that the Ummah’s Vision goes beyond Race, Tribe or Artificial Nation State

News:

Authorities in Thailand had discovered at least 32 mass graves at an abandoned jungle camp in the Sadao district of Thailand’s southern Songkhla Province bordering Malaysia on May 1 after launching a weeping crackdown on human trafficking. Few days after the terrible reports of Thai mass gravesites, once again the world was caught by shock with an appalling discovery of about 139 mass graves along Malaysia’s border with Thailand. The dead bodies were of world’s most persecuted Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar who had been forcibly removed from their homes and put on migrant ships, and the rest are impoverished Bangladeshis.

Comment:

The harrowing tales of human trafficking have exposed the essential bankruptcy of Nationalism and Democracy (aka western-backed Despotism) that had been forcibly superimposed over the Muslim territories. Prior to administering the destruction of the Khilafah through implanting the seed of nationalism in the Muslim world, today’s oppressed Rohingya Muslims would enjoy peace and security under the shadow of the Khilafah for centuries. Islam first entered Myanmar in 788 CE during Abbasid Khaleefah Harun al Rashid and since then Arab Muslims settled in the state of Arakan (which is now part of Myanmar). Buddhist kings of the Mrauk-U dynasties were so much impressed by the rulings of the Khilafah that they adopted Muslim titles, appeared in Muslim dress and the conical hats of Isfahan and Mughal Delhi, and minted Islamic coins and medallions inscribing the Kalima in Arabic scripts. The ‘Delhi Sultanate’ (a province of the Khilafah) sent delegates to the Arakan state for preaching Islam and building mosques, and people were accepting Islam in groups after witnessing the greatness and justice of the Muslims.

The ancestors of the Rohingya Muslims led a happy life even under the reigns of the Buddhist kings amid the presence of the guardian of the Muslims worldwide – the Khaleefah. With the abolition of that guardianship in 1924, they have become literally orphans. Since 1978, they are no longer recognized as citizens and 800,000 of them were left stateless while being subjected to forced labor, rape, mass killings, arbitrary land seizure and destruction of property by the Buddhist monks and nationalists. The West’s celebrated champion of “democracy” and “human rights” – the “Moral Leader” Aung San Suu Ki – also kept silent before the plight of the Rohingya fearing that speaking out in favor of them would cost her election in against Burmese Nationalism. Till now around 250,000 Rohingya fled to Bangladesh and are often subject to exploitation. In the refugee camps there, the Rohingya women are victims of sexual violence, children are denied education and there is limited access to health and medical aid. The obnoxious Hasina government considers them as ‘parasites’ who are not allowed to enter the land. While Rohingya are seen as a thorn by our treacherous rulers, Modi government of India announced to grant citizenship to persecuted Hindus of Bangladesh and Pakistan! Accepting this situation as a fait accompli, the Rohingya are now risking their lives through human smugglers’ boats in the hope of better life in Malaysia and Indonesia. The general Muslims over there came forward, unlike their despotic rulers, to rescue the Muslims from the sea. Even hundreds of Indonesian school children raised funds for their fellow Muslims who were stranded and starving in the sea. Eventually governments of those two countries were reluctantly compelled to let the refugees in due to the popular discontent.

And how can we expect the hateful Hasina to be compassionate about the Rohingya when she herself labeled the starving Bangladeshi economic migrants, who are also trapped at sea, as “mentally sick” for escaping poverty! While belittling the impoverished masses for who she failed to ensure decent living standard, the ‘pathological liar’ Hasina claimed there were sufficient work for them in Bangladesh. It is rather Hasina who is “mentally sick” for looting immense resources of the Ummah and handing it over to the foreign powers while 75% of her population are left to live on $2 a day.

Hizb ut-Tahrir has always been vocal against ‘nationalism’ unequivocally stating that it is an alien concept artificially imposed on the Ummah to keep her divided through tyrannical democratic rulers. But the crisis of Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslim migrants once again made it evident that this Ummah rejects nation-state in favor of the global Muslim unity.  While the rulers of Bangladesh, Malaysia and Indonesia are content to see the Muslims die in the sea, Muslims of these areas and beyond came forward to alleviate their sufferings. Along with the miserable failure of the colonial nationalist project, West is also struggling hard with her puppet regimes of the Muslim lands who are taking their last breath. The human trafficking crisis will end when the powerful military of the Ummah will be dispatched to liberate the Rohingya from Burmese occupation. And the hardworking Bangladeshis will stop fleeing poverty with the imminent rise of our real protector, the Khilafah. May Allah سبحانه وتعالى hasten the return of the promised Khilafah that can only remove the Fitnah and mischief being created by the puppets of the West.

“And those who disbelieve are allies of one another, (and) if you do not do so there will be Fitnah on the earth and great mischief.”

(Al-Anfal: 73)
