The Lynching of Teenage Muslim Youth such as Hafiz Junaid by Indian Hindu Terrorists will Continue as Long as the World is Deprived of the Khilafah to Protect the Blood of Muslims

On Thursday 22nd June, a mob of Hindu terrorists attacked four Muslim youth on a train in the outskirts of New Delhi, India, stabbing to death 16 year old Junaid Khan and severely injuring the others. The Hindu attackers initially taunted the Muslim youth with anti-Islam slurs, before beating them brutally and killing Junaid. The youth were on their way home to celebrate a special Eid with their families, for Junaid and his brother had just completed the memorization of the entire Qur’an the day before, attaining the honourable title of ‘Hafiz’. Junaid’s murder is just one of five such killings of Muslims by communal minded Hindu terrorists in India over the last three months.

Comment:

Indeed, violence against Muslims in India at the hands of Hindu extremists, has intensified in recent years under the rule of the Hindu nationalistic BJP and its Islam-hating leader Narendra Modi who turned a blind-eye to the massacre of hundreds of Muslims in Gujurat in 2002 during his watch as Chief Minister of the State. On Tuesday 27th June, a Muslim man in the eastern Jharkhand state was beaten and his house set on fire by a mob that accused him of slaughtering a cow, viewed as sacred in Hinduism. In April this year, Pehlu Khan, a dairy farmer was also killed by ‘cow vigilantes in Alwar, Rajasthan. And in March last year, Mazlum Ansari and 15 year old Imteyaz Khan were brutally beaten, killed, and hung from a tree by a mob of Hindu terrorists. Right-wing Hindu groups have been blamed for fomenting this violence, some of whom are linked to the BJP which has been accused of condoning and even encouraging attacks on Muslims.

Furthermore, in March this year, following the BJP victory in state elections in Uttar Pradesh, Modi appointed the zealot Hindu priest, Yogi Adityanath, as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, who has an infamous reputation for inciting hatred amongst the Hindu population against Muslims. Adityanath was the founder of the extremist Hindu Yuva Vahini organization, which has pursued a campaign of forced Hindu conversion of Muslims. In January 2015, Vahini men forced nearly 300 Muslims in Ghazipur village in Kushinagar district in eastern Utter Pradesh to convert to Hinduism. A militia leader in the organization, Sunil Singh once stated, “Workers of the Hindu Yuva Vahini will not allow Muslims to live in Hindustan.” Adityanath’s appointment along with other Hindu extremists in key positions in the country is clearly indicative of the rise in hatred and persecution of Muslims that Modi and his BJP desire for India’s future.

Muslims in India today, regardless of being 180 million strong and the second largest Muslim population in the world, live their lives in fear in the absence of an Islamic leadership to protect them. They are discriminated against, persecuted, savagely beaten and murdered for their Islamic beliefs. Meanwhile, Western states and the international community that pay lip-service against terrorism, line-up to shower praise upon and share loving embraces with Modi, this supporter of anti-Muslim terrorism, for the sake of lucrative financial deals. It exposes yet again the hypocritical nature of their capitalist secular beliefs. The Muslims of India, as with persecuted Muslims across the world, have also been abandoned by the spineless rulers and regimes of the Muslim world, who are utterly indifferent and silent to their plight and who shamelessly celebrate political and economic ties with this Mushrik state that instigates aggression against Muslims. Muslims in India had a glorious history under the Islamic rule of the Khilafah that built a great civilization which brought the Hindu and Buddhist kingdoms under the fold of Islam and made the Muslims a formidable, unassailable and unyielding force against all enemies of the Deen. It is therefore only through the urgent re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) based upon the method of the Prophethood that Muslim youth like Junaid, as well as believers across the world will be protected and provided with the security to practice their Islamic beliefs fully, with dignity and free from fear.
