Radio Azadliq stated that women wearing Khimars (Headscarves) have been subjected to harassment to force them to remove Khimars from their heads in Qulliq market in the city of Tashkent, according to Tashkent residents who told the radio of this. They said that those who agreed to remove their Khimars were released, and whoever opposed this were escorted to the Department of Internal Affairs in Biktmir area.
On 20th April 2015, the regime began a campaign to force women to take off their headscarves in public places, and two months later, the campaign has expanded and moved to Tashkent, the capital, which ranks second to Ferghana in terms of religiosity.
And as part of the war against Islam and its Ahkaam by the enemy of Allah, Karimov and his regime, the police have consistently arrested women wearing headscarves, and established a special group for the implementation of this heinous crime. As told by a car driver, “I saw with my own eyes, whoever opposes the removal of her headscarf is dragged to the police department by force, and there is no one to support these women”. Though, there is – as told by a source in the Internal Affairs – resentment among police officers of this campaign.
Furthermore, covered girls and women, are not allowed to work in laboratories and educational institutions, and are not even authorized to enter the market. Thus covered women rarely appear in the streets. In spite of all the restrictions and the prohibition of the application of Islamic provisions, the people of Uzbekistan adhere to Islam and its rulings. For example, when young people want to marry they choose to marry women who are wearing headscarves; most shops are closed on Friday; and people, almost all of them, want to bring up their children on the basis of Islam; therefore, the religious schools operate secretly in the stores. The only Islamic college in the Republic is in the capital, Tashkent, which only accepts six women per year! This is a very small figure for the country in which Muslims make up most of its population and their love and their longing for Islam is very strong. In the women’s school, “Khadija Al-Kubra”, the science of Tawheed is not taught. Instead most of its subjects are worldly sciences.
The criminal regime of Uzbekistan is based on injustice and hatred against Islam and Muslims. Thus the Jewish Karimov and his henchmen are fighting all the rules of Islam, though claiming “democracy”, and being proponents of freedom of belief, personal freedom and freedom of thought, while they forbid people from expressing their opinion, or wearing what they want, and they pursue and persecute the Dawah carriers. They also persecute human rights lawyers, journalists and all those who oppose them in opinion … and all the media is controlled by the state. Even non-Muslim journalists are also subject to prosecution and constraint!
O Muslims in Uzbekistan!
For how long you will remain silent over the injustice and the oppression?! For how long will you be satisfied with the rules of Kufr?! Young people have been prevented from frequenting Mosques! Women have been banned from wearing Jilbabs! And men have been prohibited from growing their beards! And now Khimar is banned!! So what are you doing! RasulAllah ﷺ said:
«من رأى منكم منكرا فليغيره بيده، فإن لم يستطع فبلسانه، فإن لم يستطع فبقلبه، وذلك أضعف الإيمان»
“Whoever of you had seen an evil (munkar) thing let him change it by his hand, and if he could not do that let him do that by his tongue, and if he could not do that let him deny it by his heart (i.e. hate it), and this is the weakest (degree of) Iman” (Narrated by Muslim).
Is it not time to uproot these corrupt regimes and establish the Khilafah Rashidah State on the method of the Prophethood upon their ruins!?!
وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ اللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ
“And Allah will most certainly aid those who aid His cause: for, verily, Allah is most Powerful, Almighty.”
