The Deception of the so-called Democratic ‘National Election’ in Bangladesh was exposed to the people

 – and it is clearly not the way to change the tyrant regime

More than a dozen people were killed in election-related violence in Bangladesh on Sunday, December 30, 2018, as voters went to the polls to decide whether to give Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina a third consecutive term amid opposition claims that her leadership has become increasingly authoritarian. The election campaign was marred by the arrests and jailing of what the opposition said were hundreds of thousands of Hasina opponents.

Comment:

Sunday’s farcical ‘national election’ has not only deepened political crisis in Bangladesh but also raised awareness amongst people for future courses of action to attain true liberation. The people in Bangladesh are now fully aware that the tyrant regime cannot be eliminated through the Western-imposed ‘democratic’ election process. The people were being forcefully educated by the pro-Western ideologues that democracy is their only hope for change as it gives them the ‘sovereign power’ (!) to elect their rulers after every 5 years. The said claim was disproved once again by this farcical election as people came to witness helplessly how the political fate of the ‘democratic Bangladesh’ was determined by the nexus of the Western imperialists, their regional bully India and their loyal agent Hasina. When the entire election was marred by unprecedented level of vote rigging and state-sponsored violence, India was quick to express her satisfaction over the election process, claiming that it was “really orderly” and the atmosphere was also “calm and serene” (bdnews24.com, 30 December 2018). It has also been understood by the people that unless the sincere officers of the military throw off the shackles imposed on them by the colonial West to protect their client rulers in Bangladesh, the tyrannical rule of Hasina cannot be ended through so-called free, fair and participatory election under democracy which was imposed on us along with the lackey rulers to serve Western interests only.

Hence the only way to change the ‘democratic system’ and for liberation from the rule of tyranny is through the call for and the political struggle to reestablish the Khilafah (Caliphate), and the sincere military officers has to move to replace Hasina and transfer authority to Hizb ut Tahrir to reestablish the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood.
