On Monday the 15th of Ramadan 1437 AH, corresponding to 20/06/2016 CE, the Sudanese Ministry of Guidance and Endowments signed a memorandum of understanding with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for efforts to combat extremism and terrorism. The Minister of Guidance and Endowments, Amar Merghani, reiterated the necessity for the efforts to combat terrorism and extremism to come together and for a preventative and accounting impetus to be established in order to combat all of its manifestations and forms (Sudan Tribune).
We may be asking about the intended extremism and terrorism, upon which memorandums are being signed these days, for which conferences convened within our lands and for which money spent to fight and combat it? And why the UN, which is considered to be the most important political tools of America, does not provide a clear and precise definition for terrorism, pertinent to the reality and implemented upon everyone?
In light of that we will clarify the following realities:
Firstly: The West is determined not to provide a precise and accurate definition of terrorism so that it can use the term against the Muslims and against the Muslims’ serious work to be liberated from servitude to the West and its colonialism. That is because the war against terrorism, in truth, is a military, economic and media campaign led by the US, its tools and allies against Islam and its adherents.
Secondly: There are many examples and evidences indicating that what is intended by terrorism and extremism are the Muslims. How many bloody, savage and atrocious acts undertaken by non-Muslims where many innocents have been killed, which the UN has not considered to be terrorism. That is whilst at the same time there are other acts where Muslims are accused without any evidence or proof which have been named terrorism!
Russia’s burning of Ash-Shaam (Syria) with bombs and weapons of destruction including phosphorous amongst others, is not called terrorism by the UN and conferences were not held to confront it. The slaughter of the people of Palestine, France and its militias killing of Muslims in Mali, the spilling of the Rohingya Muslims blood by the Buddhists, the killing of the Muslims in Central Africa, the killing of Uighur Muslims by China, none of that is called terrorism by the UN, the Muslim rulers or Arab states, so what then is terrorism?!!
Thirdly: The Rulers of the Muslims’ care and concern for the problems of the West like ‘Terrorism’ and illegal emigration, more than the issues of the Muslims and their problems, guides to the state of isolation that the rulers of the Muslims live in from their Ummah just as it guides to the intellectual war that the colonialist West leads against the Muslims. It is not even a strange matter for the governments of the Muslim lands to implement the recommendations of the Washington conference to combat what they call extremism which took place in February 2015, when America gathered delegations and experts from more than 60 countries in order to fight against and combat Islam, albeit on this occasion being undertaken by the sons of our own skin from amongst the rulers and politicians.
We in Hizb ut Tahrir, the pioneer that does not deceive its people, continue to work diligently to encompass the Ummah with guardianship, adopting its interests and exposing the plans of its enemies. Just as we gather the efforts of the Ummah and address their awareness, so that they deal with the war of terminological conventions and these thoughts decisively, resolutely and powerfully, until their State is established and the disbelieving colonialists are repelled upon their backs with nothing but disappointment.
