Allah (swt) says: [يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الأهِلَّةِ قُلْ هِيَ مَوَاقِيتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَالْحَجِّ] “They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the new moons. Say, “They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj”.” [Al-Baqara: 189].
