Attorney Ustadhah Iman At-Tareeqi expressed that she had been subjected to insult and great harm from the staff of one of the prisons when she was practising her profession as a lawyer. And she said that the insult and harm reached the extent of blasphemy. And in this way manifesting a complete disdain for the sanctity of the person and the greatness of Allah سبحانه وتعالى.
وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَالسَّماوَاتُ مَطْوِيَّاتٌ بِيَمِينِهِ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
“They have not appraised Allah with true (rightful) appraisal, while the earth in its entirety will be His grip on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him”
(Az-Zumar: 67)
We, in the Women’s Section of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Tunisia:
– Condemn the blasphemy considering it to be a grievous, contemptible and unforgivable and particularly as it came from prison administration employees which calls for an immediate court hearing.
– We support Ustadhah Iman Tareeqi with an absolute support and we regard the assault against her to represent an assault upon all lawyers and indeed all the people of Tunisia, women and men included. And we consider the bullying, contentiousness and deep rootedness of oppression to be a result of the democratic secular systems.
– We regard these continuously occurring practises since the time of colonialism to be from the nature of the secular system that does not give any weight to the spiritual, moral and humanitarian value. And these are practises that reveal the penetration of corruption in the administration departments which will remain because democracy is incapable of removing it and it will never be removed unless the corrupt secularism is removed.
– We remind that the system of Islam emanating from the Aqeedah (belief) of the Muslims remains the one single guarantee for the dignity of the human in general and women in particular, and it represents their protection from being exposed to such situations. That is because the sanctity of the believer in Allah’s sight is greater than the sanctity of the Ka’bah and it is of the greatest shame for a Muslim woman to be insulted within the Muslim lands. And we remind the so-called rulers in Tunisia that the Khalifah of the Muslims Al-Mu’tasim devoted a great Muslim army to come to give victory and support to a Muslim woman who had been insulted. So what are you doing whilst our women are being insulted every day?
– And we reiterate that the Muslims, women and men, will never have their dignity restored to them.
And they will never see honour except under the shade of the system that is from their Lord in which they will not be subjugated or oppressed. That is the rightly guided Khilafah system (Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood in which there is no immunity for the ruler or police except with the Taqwaa of Allah ‘Azza wa Jall.
