Sudan: Obituary of a Dawah Carrier Mubarak Al-Makki Al-Baqir

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” [TMQ 2: 155-156]

With hearts full of belief and satisfied with the decree of Allah (swt), and with tearful eyes, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan mourns for the forgiven one, Allah willing:

Mubarak Al-Makki Al-Baqir

Who was from the first generation, where he spent most of his youth working towards the resumption of the Islamic way of life; by establishing the Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood, devoting himself, his time and wealth to the call. He had been arrested during the reign of the tyrant Jaafar Al-Numeiri, and he was also arrested during the era of the former regime. These arrests did not dissuade him from carrying the call and proclaiming the truth until he passed away on Thursday, 18 Muharram 1443 Hijri corresponding to 26/08/2021 CE.

We ask Allah the Almighty to bless him with His mercy, and to forgive him, to honour his abode, expand his grave, and place blessings in his family and offspring, and to inspire us and his brothers amongst the Da’wah carriers, his family, and his loved ones the patience, and best of condolences.

The heart grieves, and the eyes shed tears, and we are saddened by your separation, and we only say what pleases our Lord:

(إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ)

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” [TMQ 2: 155-156].
