On 7/7/2017, a security group consisting of ten components arrested Ahmad Ayyat, a member of the Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Syria, from the village of Soran in Izaz, following the distribution of a leaflet entitled “The Turkish Military Intervention’s Aim is to Stifle the Syrian Revolution and Eliminate It.” It is stated in the leaflet: “Since the beginning of your blessed revolution the Turkish regime worked to contain dissident officers and put them in camps similar to prisons in order to remove them from the arena of conflict so as not to benefit from their expertise. In addition it linked the factions’ leadership to it through a range of actions, of which most the important is the dirty political money, which greatly and effectively contributed to keeping them divided and fueling the fire of fighting between them, in addition to control them and their decision. The result of these actions is that the factions became tools of the Turkish regime that it moves according to its wishes…”
On 10/7/2017 unidentified gunmen kidnapped Azzam Yousef while returning from work. After investigation and follow-up, it appeared that the arrest warrants were issued by the Turkish army command in the north of Syria. The whereabouts of the two Shabab have not yet been known.
O Muslims in the Land of Ash-Sham the Abode of Dar al-Islam:
This oppressive arrest came to confirm what was stated in the leaflet of the role played by the Turkish regime, which exercises the role of the tyrant of ash-Sham in suppressing his opponents and imprisoning them. This is not surprising from the regime whose sole concern is to secure the interests of its masters and to fight anyone who calls for the arbitration of Allah’s law. The regime arrested the former spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Turkey, at Maghrib on Friday, 23/6/ 2017, who was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment, nothing but for carrying the call of Islam and working to establish the righteous Khilafah (Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.
We point out that Hizb ut Tahrir is a political party with a history before and during the revolution, and that we have our clear objectives and our specific method. Our Shabab have endured the oppression of the tyrant rulers in various countries of the world, and this has not deterred us from our goal of resuming the Islamic way of life and did not deviate us from our path, which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ outlined.
The arrest of Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir and the imposition of the logic of force on them in response to the will of the supporters and their masters; as well as the method of detention that horrified women and children and the concealment of information about the fate of the detainees is an evil that we forbid the perpetrators from it. We call for the reveal of the fate of the arrested two Shabab and their release; and for stop harassing the Dawah carriers who have pledged their lives in the way to arbitrate the law of Allah (swt). The Almighty said:
فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخَالِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ أَنْ تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
“So let those beware who dissent from the Prophet’s order, lest fitnah strike them or a painful punishment.”
(An-Nur: 63)
