Russia Continues in its Campaign to Ban Islamic Books

On the 20th of August, the court in the Rosco Mandzor district decided unanimously to ban some of the websites that published the fourth part of the Tafseer of the Qur’an which comprises as a whole of 12 parts which was present on the site: www.alhassanain.org and it banned the book Values of Ramadhan from the site: www.islam-book.info.

So in this way Russia is continuing with its crushing methodology by banning Islamic books. As such Islamic books are being banned by a section of specialised institutions using the argument of ‘fundamentalism’, spreading strife and other flimsy reasons. The worst of what has come in respect to the prevention of Islamic books is the prevention of the Noble Ayaat and Ahadeeth.

The objective behind this is to deprive the Muslims from their cultural treasure and to pacify them. Anyone who refuses to obey this order is then considered to be overstepping the law. In addition, laws like this ban create an opinion within the society that Islam contains extremism and has a negative influence upon the society.

“How [can there be a treaty] while, if they gain dominance over you, they do not observe concerning you any pact of kinship or covenant of protection? They satisfy you with their mouths, but their hearts refuse [compliance], and most of them are defiantly disobedient”

(At-Taubah 8)
