Writer Qasim Qusair concluded in his article: “Rigidity of the Islamic Political Thought: Hizb ut Tahrir as a Model” published on the Arabi 21 site on 24/08/2016, he concluded with the query and directing a clear invitation to Hizb ut Tahrir “To revise a host of its writings and analyses in order to escape from the wooden (rigid) address that the Hizb still insists upon utilising in spite of the passing of 63 years since its launch and in spite of what the world has witnessed in terms of newly occurring realities and developments”. It has gone beyond, in the view of the writer Mr Qusair: “A narrow outlook and narrow mould that the Hizb became stagnant upon… and has come to resemble the people of the cave in respect to rigidity and stagnation in thought and viewpoint…”
However, we have to ask: Were the youth of the cave which the Qur’an made immortal through their mention and whose truthfulness of their Iman was decisive in addition to their rejection to be subservient to the authority of falsehood that dominated over the land and servants at that time, and so they preferred to make Hijrah in the way of Allah in order to safeguard their Aqeedah of Iman in Allah Al-Wahid Al-Ahad, and abandoned their home and the home of their grandfathers and their fathers because they did not accept to compromise their belief… We ask were they in error? Should they rather have used shrewdness and wisdom and enter into the Deen of falsehood (Taghut) and hide their feelings of Iman and their truthful Aqeedah concepts which had exploded in their hearts and emotions?! The same questioning applies to Fir’aun’s sorcerers who refused except to declare openly their disbelief in the falsehood (Taghut) and to side with Musa (as) the Messenger of Allah and his persecuted and repressed people after the true Iman filled their hearts and then they proclaimed it unashamedly and forthrightly:
فَاقْضِ مَا أَنتَ قَاضٍ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِي هَـٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
“So decree whatever you are to decree. You can only decree for this worldly life”
(TaHa: 72)
Indeed, if we were to scrutinize well and thoroughly the paths of the nations, the paths of the Prophets and Messengers in respect to their struggles with the tyrannical and oppressive rulers we would find that the same questioning applies upon them all… So what was the path of the Prophets and their believing followers except a pure and god-fearing path embodying the struggle of the honest truth between the Aqeedah (belief) established upon Iman in the Lord of the creation and the small group of tyrants whom Shaytan had provided with the perception that they were capable of repressing the voice of truth by using tyrannical and violent force manifested in the Pharaonic mentality regardless of the number and variety of its styles across times and places.
Yes, indeed Hizb ut Tahrir since the first day of its inception has declared openly and clearly that the vital issue for the Islamic Ummah is one: Liberation from subservience to the western colonialism and to work to realise the meaning of worship to Allah Al-Wahid Al-Ahad through the application of His Shar’a alone and nothing other than it… The Hizb does not flatter in its presentation and does not practice hypocrisy nor does it mumble (ambiguously). Rather it proclaims it with its loudest voice and its Shabab, male, female and supporters from amongst the Muslim masses who oppose the criminal oppressive rulers having been content with themselves to be cheap tools in the hands of the colonialist states, after their predecessors cooperated with Britain and others to destroy the Khilafah at the hands of Mustafa Kamal in 1924. By doing so, they perpetrated an act of treachery that shook the Islamic Ummah which then fell into the clutches of colonial submission. It is still paying the huge costs until this very moment and there is no need to make mention of the horrors and terrors that the Ummah has lived and continues to live through; from East Turkestan to west Africa and from Tatarstan to Crimea to Yemen to Central Africa…
So is Mr Qusair asking us to abandon the rigid address, speech and thought and to adopt something from the practical reality just like Faisal Qasim mentioned in one of his previous articles when he advised warning of the narrowness of horizons, after the realities have clearly proven? In Mr Qasim’s view, that whoever disbelieves in the hell of the western colonialism, his fate, according to Faisal, is to live outside the time and place after the West has become dominant over space…?!
We ask both Qasim’s: When has struggling against falsehood and tyranny become a rigid or wooden address?! Has not humanity witnessed throughout its long path of existence a continual struggle between the camp of the Haqq (truth) and camp of Baatil (falsehood)?! Has not the materialist civilisation, whatever the forms it has taken and whatever names it has adopted, throughout time? Has it not established enslavement to a small group of false deities, whether they were called Fir’aun, Caesar, Kisra, or of a pedantic Philosopher or more recently a democratic parliament, the enslavement to which is legislated by what is called the high court?! That is because all of these have enslaved the rest of the people to begin with and then strive to enslave conquered peoples by the forces of fire and iron, or the power of the World Bank or what is called the United Nations, which is no more than a cloth to cover up the flaws of the global colonial system which plunders the resources of the nations. Those who do this upon the basis of the materialistic belief that gives no weight to the humanitarian or spiritual values, and knows nothing other than the meaning of force and violence based upon the Machiavellian principle: “The ends justify the means” which is the twin of the law of the jungle which venerates the so-called truth to the power of the beast far removed from the strength of the thought, evidence and the truth… There is therefore nothing in their legislation and nothing in the colonialist materialistic way of life in terms of truth or proof that is established upon a thought that convinces human the mind. Rather, there is only the logic of the jungle which makes Hitler a criminal and Roosevelt who dropped atom bombs upon Hiroshima and Nagasaki a hero, even though both of them completely drown in their criminality!!
May Allah’s mercy be upon Malek Bennabi who was shaken for his bed by the spread of acceptance of colonialism amongst the midst of his Ummah which had always been free, proud and filled with honour in its Iman its Lord and the Message of its Prophet which made it the best Ummah to be raised up for mankind. The plots of the disbelievers do not cause us harm however our hearts are affected when we read the speech of Mr Qasim Qusair whilst he knows the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir including the author of this response. And so Qasim refuses except to attribute fabrications to some unknown Islamic sources transmitting the invented claim that the Hizb use to view that the establishment of the Khilafah does not require more than 13 years to accomplish according to its understanding of the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Had he knocked on our door or had a slight concern to call my phone, we would have clarified for him that which he was having trouble with…
It is for both Qasim Qusair and Faisal Al-Qasim and those like them to offer poisoned advice about the obligation to abandon the delusions of the rigid address and the necessity of adopting wisdom and pragmatism to submit to the colonialist era, and that is their affair…
As for us, from those who believe in Allah, His Messenger and have believed in the promise of Allah Ta’Aalaa and the glad tidings of His Prophet Al-Mustafaa ﷺ, then we will never bend ourselves to other than Allah and we will never be content with enslavement and worship to colonialism as long as we live. Rather, the matter is struggle and Jihad in the way of Allah’s pleasure, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. We don’t have any doubt, and not for a moment that we will be victorious by the power and might of Allah and even if it is after some time, although we have proven our victory in the battle of thoughts and concepts ever since we refused the colonialist debauchery. Allah Subhaanahu spoke the truth when He said:
يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّـهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّـهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ * هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَىٰ وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
“They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it. It is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the Deen of truth make it prevail over all religion, although those who associate others with Allah dislike it”
(As-Saff: 8-9)
And the Messenger ﷺ spoke the truth when he said:
«إنَّ اللهَ زَوَى لِيَ الأَرْضَ فَرَأَيْتُ مَشَارِقَهَا وَمَغَارِبَهَا وَإِنَّ مُلْك أُمَّتِي سَيَبْلُغُ مَا زُوِيَ لِي مِنْهَا»
“Verily Allah contracted the earth for me so that I saw all of its East and its West and verily the authority of my Ummah will reach all that was contracted for me from it”.
