RE: “Hizb ut Tahrir Demands to Establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) State in Sudan”

This article is written as a response to the article written on Alhurra website on 24/7/2019 titled: “Hizb ut Tahrir Demands to Establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) State in Sudan”

Our response is as follows:

The brother Babakr Faisal has not based his article on a clear basis, as he is trying to attack Hizb ut Tahrir, using false accusations, by claiming that the previous government system of Al-Bashir government was an Islamic system; and he concludes that what Hizb ut Tahrir wants to implement is exactly what Al-Bashir’s system implemented, then he mobilises slogans and surges emotions, without clarifying to us where is the truth and where is the falsehood, and on what basis was this truth or falsehood, and in order to be fair we will focus on the content of his article with detailed analysis and response.

The writer said: “Millions of Sudanese’s demands have been unified as they filled the streets through their marches and demonstrations raising slogans of freedom, peace and justice…etc.” And we say surely when the people came out, they did not raise slogans of freedom, peace and justice, however they came out to protest against the oppression that surrounded them as a consequence of implementing the capitalist system. “…democratic or dictatorial”. As for the one who initiated and came up with such slogans is a well known organisation, who infiltrated through the youth revolution, pretended to be its leader and is still speaking on its behalf, even though they are aware that those who came out are not their followers, and what led them to protest was the oppressive system as we mentioned earlier, they keep calling for justice and a decent life. And we say it frankly there will be no justice except under the system of Islam, whether the writer agrees or disagrees because Allah (swt) says: وَمَن لَّمْ يَحْكُم بِمَا أنزَلَ اللَّهُ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ “And whosoever does not judge by that which Allah has revealed, such are the Zalimun (wrong-doers)” [Al-Ma’ida: 44].

As for the writer’s statement: “Surely Hizb ut Tahrir who demands from the army (the people of support and power) to give it the authority in order to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) system, this is considered a deviation from the revolution’s slogans that call for the establishment of a civil state, that is in complete contradiction to the concept of Khilafah (Caliphate), as the basis of the rights and obligations in a civil state is based on nationalism while the latter one is based on religion and so the non-Muslim would be considered as a second degree citizen.”

Indeed there is some truth at the start of the above statement but there is deception at the end of it. It is absolutely true that the civil state is in total contradiction with the Khilafah, because the Khilafah is based on the rules of the Lord of the worlds and the civil state is based on the whims and desires of the misguided and ignorant who do not know and Allah (swt) addressed them clearly: أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِّقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ “Do they then seek the judgement of (the Days of) Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith” [Al-Ma’ida: 44]. And He (swt) says: ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَى شَرِيعَةٍ مِّنَ الأَمْرِ فَاتَّبِعْهَا وَلا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاء الَّذِينَ لا يَعْلَمُونَ “Then We have put you (O Muhammad ) on a plain way of (Our) commandment [like the one which We commanded Our Messengers before you (i.e. legal ways and laws of the Islamic Monotheism)]. So follow you that (Islamic Monotheism and its laws), and follow not the desires of those who know not.” [Al-Jathiya: 18]

As for the saying that a non-Muslim is second degree citizen is a complete deception; because everyone who holds the Islamic State citizenship whether Muslim or non-Muslim enjoys the full rights and obligations except that which has specific conditions in Islam, for example the ruler can not be non-Muslim, or do you want a non-Muslim to rule by Islam?

As a response to such accusations it is sufficient to mention the incident that occurred between the leader of the believers Ali (may Allah be pleased with him ) with the Jewish man who took Ali’s shield and claimed that it is his in the courtroom in front of the judge who ruled in favour of the Jew and the story is well-known.

The writer also stated: “Hizb ut Tahrir does not just call for the establishment of the state on the basis of religion, but it does not believe in democracy and it forbids it and says it is a system of Kufr…etc.” We say to him, that democracy is a system of Kufr and it is forbidden to take it or implement it and we have given definitive evidences for that so where are the writer’s evidences that state that democracy is allowed and does not contradict Islam?!

The writer reiterates: “The discussion that there is a notion of an Islamic way of life that is complete and holistic is mere ideological illusions.” He repeated that twice then he ended by saying: “Surely Hizb ut Tahrir in reality is the same as other Islamic political parties and it does not have a clear vision on how to reach to the Khilafah stage or the style of selecting the ruler… etc.”

It is truly strange and surprising for him who begs for solutions from the colonial West, describing Hizb ut Tahrir the one with a crystal clear vision of the Islamic life under the second Khilafah Rashidah (righteous Caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood, and claiming falsely that it has ideological illusions. The calamity of such advocates of science, modernisation and civil state and other luster slogans that lack any true solutions to solve the Unmah’s issues except within the framework of the oppressive and brutal capitalist system. Surely their calamity is that they are hostile to what they do not know of the truth; for if the writer was sincere in his words he would have studied Hizb ut Tahrir’s constitution of the Islamic state and looked through the Hizb’s offered solutions whether its political, social or economical and other Shariah laws for today’s reality, then he could give his opinion with knowledge and clear insight, but what should we say the human being is an enemy of his own ignorance! Additionally, we have responded to this writer Babakar Feisal more than once and we invited him to visit us but he hasn’t and he continued to attack the Hizb without knowing anything about the party except what he hears about us!! Here we are, repeating our request to visit us, and come close to the Hizb’s project and to ask every detail whether small or big so he has proof and publishes his articles with awareness and recognition and not through suspicion and guesswork.
