Raheel Sharif Follows the Same Policy towards India as Nawaz Sharif, as Both Follow American Dictates

An Indian Navy officer, working for India’s spy agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), was arrested in Balochistan, Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti revealed on 24 March 2016. Confirming the arrest, Bugti said that the RAW officer, identified as Kulbhushan Yadav, was arrested from Balochistan three days ago. “The Indian spy was in contact with Baloch separatists and members of religious organizations involved in stoking sectarian and ethnic unrest in the province,” he said. Asim Bajwa, Director General of ISPR, said that Yadav’s goal was to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor through propaganda—with Gwadar port as a special target. Bajwa said, “There can be no clearer evidence of Indian interference in Pakistan,” and added that Yadav’s activities were nothing short of state-sponsored terrorism.

Comment:

News of the arrest of Indian RAW agent, Kulbhushan Yadav, was presented in some sections of the Pakistani media in a way to show that the military side of the Raheel-Nawaz regime, led by General Raheel Sharif, is seriously hunting Indian agents, whilst the political side of the regime, led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is negligent, as for many days Nawaz Sharif did not even comment on this important issue. The mouth pieces of Raheel in the media explained that Nawaz has a soft corner for India, as America wants normalization of relations between Pakistan and India, so that is why he has not reacted to this very important development, whilst Raheel Sharif is safeguarding the national interests of Pakistan. So it is being claimed that civilian and military sides of the regime are not at the same page with regards to India.

However, no matter how much mouthpieces of General Raheel try to spread this lie, facts cannot be twisted and Nawaz cannot be used as a scapegoat for Raheel’s own treachery. There is no doubt that Raheel and Nawaz are following the same policy towards India, as dictated by their master, America, so the military and civilian side of the regime are on the same page with regards to India. Raheel appointed his very close friend, Lt. Gen (Retd.), Nasir Khan Janjua, as National Security Advisor to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Soon after his appointment, Nasir Janjua met his Indian counterpart, Ajit Doval, on 6 December 2015 in Bangkok, Thailand. The joint press released said that the discussions covered “peace and security, terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir, and other issues, including tranquility along the LoC”. On 17th December 2015, Nasir Janjua said that his recent meeting with Ajit Doval was a “good beginning”. He said, “We have agreed to move forward. Mr Doval and I were absolutely comfortable with each other and we realised we can work together’’.  He further said that it is important to “not be frozen in the past”. After the attack on the Indian Airforce base in Pathankot, Nasir Khan Janjua had a second meeting with Ajit Doval in Paris on 14 January 2016 and briefed him on Islamabad’s action against the perpetrators of the Pathankot attack. And a day before this meeting Nawaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting, attended by Raheel Sharif as well, to review the prevailing security situation, at Prime Minister House on 13 January 2016. During this meeting it was decided that a committee will be formed to investigate the Pathankot attack comprising of AIG Punjab CTD Rai Tahir, Director IB Lahore Azeem Arshad, AIG CTD K-P, Salahuddin Khan, Director FIA Lahore, Usman Anwar, Brigadier Noman Saeed of the ISI and Lt Col Irfan Mirza of the MI. And then on 27 March the Special Investigation Team (SIT) visited India. This was a major change in Pakistan’s policy towards India and could not done by any civilian leadership and is clearly in the court of the military leadership. We remember that on 28 November 2008, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani announced that the head of ISI will be sent to Delhi for the purpose of sharing evidence of Pakistan’s possible link with the Mumbai terror attack, but the very next day Gilani took back his decision because of fierce reaction from military. Then on 6 March 2016, Nasir Janjua called Ajit Doval and informed him that ten terrorists entered from Pakistan into India to carry out strikes. And this sharing of information was confirmed by the Federal Minister of Interior, Chaudhry Nisar, on 9 March 2016 on the floor of the parliament. And on 5 April 2016, Nasir Janjua told a global peace conference that Pakistan was committed to peace process with India.

So any sane person, who has not sold his conscience, can easily connect these facts and will not allow himself to be fooled by false perception created by Raheel’s mouth pieces in media, that Raheel is hostile to India, as compared to Nawaz. General Raheel knows that the people of Pakistan hate India, so he is using the capture of RAW agent to raise his stature, which is eroding fast after the hanging of Mumtaz Qadri, to continue his crusade against Islam, Jihad, callers of Islam and Khilafah, under the guise of fighting terrorism and extremism. If Raheel was sincere in catching Indian agents and ending Indian hostility, then he should have severed ties with India, instead of allowing his crony Janjua to continue cooperation with India, by giving them information about those who attack India. If Raheel was sincere he would have severed military ties with America, who has allowed India to operate eight offices in Afghanistan to create insurgency in Pakistan. Sincere officers in the armed forces must not close their eyes to these facts and must move to end this treachery by giving Nussrah to Hizb ut-Tahrir to establish Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood so the game of treachery ends forever.
