In light of what afflicts Yemen of conflict and internal and external wars, the Riyadh conference was held, which lasted from 17-19 May 2015 CE and was called the conference on Saving Yemen!! But it was a mirage. It was attended by political forces in favor of the legitimacy of President Hadi, while the Houthis refused to participate in it. The stance of the UN envoy, Ismail Ould Cheikh, encouraged them to reject it, since his response to the Riyadh Conference was to invite the conflicting parties to the Geneva Conference under the auspices of the United Nations; making the conflict between these parties between attack and retreat.
So the conferees in Riyadh intensified their stance; where they stated that they would not attend Geneva unless the Riyadh-based conference and its decisions are the basis for dialogue in addition to the commitment and implementation by the Houthis and their ally of the Security Council Resolution 2216 that calls for retreat from the cities and the capital and surrender heavy weapon they took from the state. President Hadi has informed United Nations envoy, Ban Ki-moon, that the current developments in Yemen are not conducive for his government to participate in the Geneva conference and that he will not participate in the Geneva conference before the implementation of UN Resolution 2216. As well as the Yemeni Vice President, Khaled Bahah, expressed his belief that the government eventually will sit at the negotiations table with the Houthis but this will not take place unless Houthis and their ally, Saleh, are committed to the Security Council Resolution 2216. Thus, the dispute between the conflicting parties increased over the Geneva Conference, which was scheduled to take place on 28th May 2015, which called on the United Nations to postpone it indefinitely.
O people of Yemen: This is how the colonizer conflicts over us, by us and within us; positioning himself a lawyer for his tools and a judge and an executor for his decisions, to serve his own interests, or otherwise it won’t. Wars and conflicts have burnt you, and you have nothing to do with them. The conferences of the West and its Nations are treacherous failed conferences and unreliable in solution rather they are the ones that spark the crises and conflicts in the interests of the major powers, and we have seen them in Syria, Libya and others. So when are you going to realize, O Muslims in Yemen, that the West is the adversary, and sworn enemy to you and to all Muslims, so how can it be a judge in which you hope from it to deliver the country to safety?!!.
We have shown in our previous press releases and Hizb leaflets the reality of the conflict and the aftermath of the events on the country and the people in its shadow, and the consequences of relying on the oppressors. And that the solution must be based on the Iman and the Aqeedah of the people of Yemen and their wisdom, and that there is no salvation of our country and all the Islamic countries but in the Khilafah Rashidah project, on the method of the Prophethood, which Hizb ut Tahrir seeks to achieve. And we will continue in advising, warning and exposing each crime against the Muslims and their countries; reminding our people in Yemen of their duties until Allah makes for us a way out of what we are in, whereupon the Khilafah Rashidah on the method of the Prophethood will be established and the country and the people are back to their origin, basis and natural status under the shades of the state of Islam, in spite of the enemies and their agents and that is not difficult for Allah.
