Fifteen years ago, on 7th of October 2001, the USA and NATO occupied Afghanistan by using B52 and Cruise Missiles. The pretext they used for this occupation was liberation, nation building and State building. On the contrary though, many atrocities have been committed on the people of Afghanistan in this period. War and lack of security have spread wider in area and in dimensions, poverty, unemployment and moral corruption have become widespread, and people abandon the country in despair in search of a place to live. This comes at a time when about 5 million out of an estimated 30 million people of Afghanistan have become drug addicted, around a million are reported to be women. On the other hand, US sponsored international drug trade from Afghanistan has addicted millions of other people across the globe.
Spread of War and Lack of Security: Afghanistan has become the longest US war outside that country. USA and NATO forces have killed hundreds of thousands of people. This comes at a time when USA has signed the strategic security agreement with its puppets in Afghanistan. Their justification of this shameful agreement is that it will bring peace, security and prosperity to people of Afghanistan. In reality though, this so called strategic security agreement has guaranteed US long term presence, judicial immunity for its soldiers and nine permanent bases in various parts of Afghanistan. Signing of this security agreement on contrary to what has been propagated has resulted in increased lack of security.
Thus, it is crystal clear that Afghanistan is a military project for USA. Although, there are greater regional political objectives that USA pursues from its military presence in Afghanistan. In this context, USA has no real motives to focus in Afghanistan on state building, creation of local governance structures in line with realities of people and developing of the living standards of people of Afghanistan. USA is using Afghanistan as a means and as a transit route to achieve its long terms objectives in Central and South Asia and in Eurasia in general. Therefore, people must expect war and atrocities as long as US long-term objectives in the region have not been achieved.
Spread of secularist and anti-Islamic values: The Colonialist plan and endeavour to remove Islam from practical life of people of Afghanistan and bound it within mosques. Even Friday sermons are prepared at the instructions of Haj and Endowment Ministry and General Directorate of Security. The current political system has given the right to parliament to enact laws based on majority which is in complete breach of Islam. As a result, instead of Laws of Allah, man-made laws are implemented.
The government of Afghanistan has deceived people by including two articles in the constitution -Article II and III – which say that “Islam is religion of the state” and “No law can be made in violation of Islam”. In reality though, people can see that democracy which is based on secularism is chosen as political system, banks are operating on interest (riba), sexuality and moral corruption is promoted by media, laws are being enacted by the process of majority votes in parliament and taking Kuffar as friends and partners has become a normal practice. Also, political institutions are constructed on the concepts of tribalism and ethnicity, not on principles of Islam. In the process, so called Ulema who have sold their souls to the government are employed to justify all of this as Islamic by trying to put prefix or suffix of Islam to concepts of Kufr and secularism such as “Islamic Republic” in an effort to deceive people.
To achieve their onslaught against Islam more rapidly, the government on the instructions of the USA has fast-tracked the process to side line and eventually remove former Mujahideen leaders and figures who have Islamic emotions from the political scene. This program is being conducted in the name of fighting corruption and establishing meritocracy in the political system. As a result those people who have become moulded in western culture are being promoted to senior government positions. Many such people have US or European passports.
Spread of sexuality and moral corruption: The extent of sexuality and moral corruption is widespread. Media sources display sexuality, promote immorality, inspire illegal sexual affairs and encourage disobedience of parents by broadcasting Indian and Turkish drama series. This is gradually breaking the moral and religious fabric of families and is resulting in increased disintegration of families. Recent reports have given shocking statistics about miscarriage of babies and illegitimate pregnancies among girls, and of widespread moral corruption in shelter houses (houses established by government for girls who escape from families and homes). Civil society groups and institutions encouraged by programs such as Promote which is run by the Christian wife of the president, have started psychological onslaught against veiled women, attacking their personality under the slogans of human rights and women rights. This comes at a time when recent reports suggest that Afghan women on their immigration journey to Europe are being gang-raped in European camps and are forced in that hostile environment to prostitution.
Economic System: After occupation of Afghanistan, colonialist chose free market economic as the economic system for Afghanistan. This meant that like political system of democracy, economic system would be broken free of all kind of religious interference. As a result, over the past 15 years’ interest based banking system, hoarding, monopolization, insurance, neck-breaking taxes have become part and parcel of economic life of people. Despite claims of hundreds of billions of dollars in aid from the West, unemployment and poverty is at highest levels. Fifty per cent population lives under the poverty line. Families are forced by extreme poverty to sell their children. Western aid has resulted in emergence of huge gap between the poor and the rich. 10 per cent population controls about 90 per cent of the wealth. Afghanistan has 96 per cent imports and only four per cent exports. It is apparent that economic policies of the government are aimed at ensuring best interests of its masters and implementation of policies of international institutions of colonialism such as World Bank, IMF and WTO.
The current situation in departments of public services such as transport, traffic, hospitals and legal and judicial sector shows that the government has policy of humiliation of people of Afghanistan to the extent that the freedom seeking and religion loving people of Afghanistan shall eventually concede to servitude and slavery under burden of long period of humility and weakness, and let go of ideas of freedom and rule of religion.
Education system: A corrupt system of education based on western concepts have been established in Afghanistan. This system is clearly in contradiction with Islamic Aqedah. This system is aimed at training future generations as secular personalities instead of Islamic ones. Curriculum in schools and universities are designed to propagate concepts of democracy, secularism, nationalism and freedom and human rights which are in essence completely non Islamic. In addition, mixing of boys and girls in educational institutions has led to vast moral corruption.
On the other hand, the curriculum, does not have anything about Islam’s political, economic or social systems. Islam is depicted as a religion devoid of all of these, and limited to worshiping only. Chapters on Islamic civilization have been removed from Curriculum, except for a few issues of doctrine. As a result our young generation is being educated on the basis of western civilization, introducing Islam to them as a violent religion with no practical solutions to human affairs.
O Mujahed People of Afghanistan,
The reality of Afghanistan is such that it is an occupied land, and a US military project for the purpose of pursuing greater regional objectives. Recent statements of US politicians explain the fact that USA is preparing to surge its forces in Afghanistan. In addition, resumption of bombardment by B52’s, and drones show that Afghanistan will remain a battle ground of countries of the world in the future, and the flames of war will continue to rage in this part of Islamic lands. In such circumstances, expectation of calm, economic progress and industrial and business development is just a dream that will not come true. Promises and solutions of the West are a mere deception. Crises that have unfolded in the past 15 years is a testimony to this statement.
Therefore, O people of Afghanistan, say no to solutions proposed by the west. The true happiness of Muslims in this world and in the hereafter is guaranteed by establishment of Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood. Khilafah will create favourable security, economic and educational grounds for material development, while creating intellectual harmony and peace. In the meantime, Khilafah will create an environment of belief and pave the way for salvation of people from the mischief Satan and from punishment of the hereafter. Obeying of rulers in violation of orders of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala will lead to punishment in the Day of Judgement.
And lastly, it is worth noting that Khilafah Rasheda – instead of promoting ethnic and tribal hostility – will drive vast majority of the Ummah to the struggle with Kufffar and colonialists.
This is an advice for every person of sound judgement.
يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِي النَّارِ يَقُولُونَ يَالَيْتَنَا أَطَعْنَا اللَّهَ وَأَطَعْنَا الرَّسُولاَ * وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا إِنّا أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَکُبَرَاءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا السَّبيلاَ * رَبَّنَا آتِهِمْ ضِعْفَيِنِ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ وَالْعَنْهُمْ لَعْناً کَبِيراً
“On the day when their faces are turned over in the fire, they say: Oh, would that we had obeyed Allah and had obeyed His messenger! And they say: Our Lord! Lo! we obeyed our princes and great men, and they misled us from the Way. Our Lord! Oh, give them double torment and curse them with a mighty curse.”
(Al-Ahzab: 66-68)
