Islam Mandates Abolition of Democracy Not Banning Valentine’s Day Alone

As reported in Dawn 13 February 2017, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) prohibited the celebration of Valentine’s Day in public spaces and government offices across the country ‘with immediate effect’. The print and electronic media have been warned to “stop all Valentine’s Day promotions immediately,” whilst PEMRA has been ordered to monitor all media and send out notifications banning any related promotions. Valentine’s Day is an un-Islamic ritual being celebrated on 14 February 2017, every year, across the globe, including Muslim countries. In Pakistan, the increased celebration of Valentine’s Day year on year has meant that it has now become a significant festivity in urban areas, especially targeting the Muslim youth. This rise in celebration of a festivity encouraging lewdness, only reflects the secular and liberal values adopted and implemented by the successive regimes in Pakistan, a country where several surveys and reports have proven that Islam-loving Muslim masses have rejected the notion of secularism and liberalism.

Although some have celebrated the banning of Valentine’s Day, it is clearly not enough, because Democracy promotes anti-Islamic notions throughout the year, not just on one particular day, via education institutions, media and other state tools. More than anything to do with Islam, the court order reflects to curb the “vulgarity” which went too far on this particular day, which was also part of the petitioner request. Consider also that in a separate order, as reported in Dawn 14 February 2017, the Lahore High Court, Chief Justice, has allowed private television channels that have valid licences to show Indian movies as per terms of their agreements with Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA). Certainly these movies are allowed to push society towards freedom and vulgarity. It reiterates the point that more than anything to do with Islam, the decisions and policies in Democracy are based on human whims or desires. In Democracy, the right of legislation has been handed-over to humans whereby they are the one who define what is right and wrong and what is beneficial and harmful for the society instead of the Creator, Almighty. It is a system where humans define what is allowed and forbidden instead of Shariah. Bayhaqi reported that Adiyy ibn Hatim, said: “I came to the Prophet wearing a cross of gold in my neck. And I heard him read from Surah Baraa’ah,

اتَّخَذُوا أَحْبَارَهُمْ وَرُهْبَانَهُمْ أَرْبَابًا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ

They took the rabbis and monks as lords beside Allah”

(Surah At-Tawba 9:31)

I said, “O RasulAllah, they do not worship them. He said: «أجل ولكن يحلون لهم ما حرم الله فيستحلونه ويحرمون عليهم ما أحل الله فيحرمونه فتلك عبادتهم لهم» Yes, but they made Halal for them what Allah forbade and they took it as Halal and they made Haram for them what Allah made Halal and they took it as Haraam and that is how they worshiped them.”

In contrast, in the Khilafah, the right of legislation rest with Allah, Almighty. The Quran and Sunnah is implemented, not human whims and desires. Not only are all such Kufr rituals in Khilafah system prohibited, but more importantly the society is actively nurtured on basis of Islam. A society based on Islam will not be inclined towards Kufr rituals and will reject any such notions. Hence, the Muslims must work to abolish Democracy which is the root of these problems and replaced with Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the Method of Prophethood.

Forced Expulsion of Afghans is to Serve Colonialist Divide and Rule

As reported in Dawn dated 13 February 2017, in a damning report on “forced repatriation” of Afghan refugees, the Human Rights Watch (HRW) calls on the government to avoid recreating conditions in 2017, that forced the involuntary return of refugees to Afghanistan last year. In the report titled “Pakistan Coercion, UN Complicity: The Mass Forced Return of Afghan Refugees”, the HRW asks the government to end police abuse, revert to its earlier policy of extending Proof of Registration cards by at least two years, avoid creating anxiety about deportation of Afghans and allow undocumented Afghan refugees seeking protection to request and obtain it in Pakistan. In the second half of 2016, 365,000 of the 1.5 million registered refugees were “pushed out by a toxic combination of deportation threats and police abuses”. About 200,000 of the 1m undocumented Afghan refugees in Pakistan returned to their country over the same period. The HRW terms the exodus “the world’s largest unlawful mass forced return of refugees in recent times.”

Millions of Afghan Muslims have been living in Pakistan for decades as an aftermath of the Afghan war against Russia. Their new generations have grown-up here, whilst they have been warmly welcomed by the local Muslims of Pakistan, especially those of the tribal belt. However, Pakistan’s current rulers never accepted them and accordingly gave them the status of “Refugees”. They were discriminated against, they were not supported and they were made to live in refugee camps by the governments. However, many of them were able to establish their houses and businesses on their own along with the help of local Muslims.

In the era of the Soviet Union, the leadership saw them just as a formidable fighting resource to be used in the name of Islam for securing the interests of the colonialist US. However, after 9/11 things changed, Pakistan’s rulers not only turned their backs upon Afghan Muslims who resisted against the foreign invasion of the colonialist US, but also aided it in crushing the resistant movement. Then Pakistan’s rulers gradually launched a campaign amongst its masses in which the Afghan Muslims were demonized. Using the wave of terrorist attacks and blaming Afghans for it, the rulers were able to harness an environment, conducive in forcing the expulsion of Afghan Muslims from Pakistan. They were regularly harassed by the authorities; their houses regularly raided, they were unnecessarily interrogated and stopped at checkpoints. They soon became “suspects” of every tragic incident.

Their inhumane treatment didn’t stop here as 2016 was set as a deadline for their mass expulsion or else strict action would be taken. The Afghan refugees are not only being asked to leave, but leave in haste, whereby their business, properties and financial stakes in Pakistan will not only be ruined, but sold at a meager price. These rulers have done all this in a bid to incite ethnic tensions amongst the Muslims of both countries, so that the regime may be able to exploit tensions as a justification for its military operations and crack-down against the Muslims of the tribal belt. The US, through these rulers, attempted to divide the Muslims of both sides, seeking to divert them from standing-up against its colonialist invasion in Afghanistan as a unified front. Instead, Washington wants the Muslims to fight against each other. Moreover, this division also allows the rise of India as the dominant regional power, which represents even more danger for all Muslims.

Islam rejects discrimination amongst Muslims of different ethnicities. The Khilafah upon the Method of Prophethood will not only restore the dignity of the Afghan and tribal Muslims, but will ensure their respected status amongst all Muslims, as they deserve through their centuries of sacrifice for Islam. And it will mobilize their fighters alongside the armed forces to strike at the hated crusaders, rather than allowing Muslims to point their weapons at each other. Moreover the rightly guided Khaleefah will severe the ties with head of snake, the United States and rip to shreds its hegemony, through which it has been suppressing, invading, killing the Muslims and turning them against each other. Allah سبحانه وتعالى calls upon the Muslims as one people, ordering us to unify as one,

“And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah, and be not divided among yourselves.”

(Surah Aali-Imran 3:102-103)

US Seeks to Reduce Pakistan Army to a Police Force

On 23 February, Dawn reported that, “As terrorists re-launched a campaign of terror against the nation this week, Pakistan too expedited its efforts to combat them and is quietly acquiring equipment and weapons required for combating militancy. The US media reported at least three such deals this week, which involve helicopters and military vehicles that would enhance the military’s capability to pursue militants in difficult terrains. Earlier this week, Pakistan concluded a deal with an Italian aerospace and defence firm, Leonardo S.p.A. for purchasing an unspecified number of AW139 helicopters.”

Using false flag operations through the infiltration by its intelligence and military, Washington wants to reduce the role of Pakistan’s armed force to that of a police force protecting the Indian occupation of Kashmir and the US crusader presence in Afghanistan. Moreover, the US plan for our region is to support Indian regional supremacy, curb Pakistan’s considerable abilities and eradicate the foremost obstacle to the US plan, the Khilafah project. On 9 April 2016, speaking at the Council of Foreign Relations ahead of his three-day visit to India, the US Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter, said, “The US has a ‘whole global agenda’ with India, covering all issues, while the relationship with Pakistan has to do with issues of terrorism and Afghanistan.”

Indeed, America has a ‘global agenda’ with India. Thus, the US is expanding India’s nuclear capabilities, including the building of new nuclear reactors and the acquisition of sensitive missile technology through the MTCR (Missile Technology Control Regime). The US is promoting Indian global political aspirations, including its inclusion as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, and strengthening its ties with resourceful Muslim countries under American influence, such as Saudi Arabia and Iran. This is aside from the US opening the doors of Afghanistan for an unprecedented Indian presence there, with the US puppet, Ashraf Ghani, shamelessly declaring Afghanistan as a “second home” for Narendra Modi.

Moreover, America has been working to remove the Muslims as an obstacle to the rise of India. To provide relief for India, Musharraf implemented US demands for the burial of the Kashmir issue and the declaration of those who are fighting for its liberation as “terrorists.” As for now, US demands have ensured that Pakistan does not undertake any befitting response to repeated Indian Line of Control violations, whilst other demands ensure that Pakistan co-operates with India over its concerns regarding “terrorism,” including intelligence sharing. On 7 June 2016, during their two-hour-long meeting, US President Barack Obama and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi jointly demanded that Pakistan must “bring the perpetrators of the 2008 Mumbai and 2016 Pathankot terrorist attacks to justice.” As for General Raheel, in the era of Kayani, in response to US demands, he personally revised Pakistan Army’s military doctrine, as embodied in its “Green Book,” to remove the Indian centric focus, thereby removing the Muslims as an obstacle to the rise of the Hindu state. And to nurture a defeatist mentality towards India, Pakistan’s officers are now being asked to war-game without the nuclear option.

As for removing Pakistan’s nuclear program as an obstacle to Indian regional supremacy, Musharraf submitted to US demands for American intelligence to interrogate our nuclear scientists and ensure that they were sent off into virtual retirement, crippling essential ongoing research and development. Now, the US is making demands over the very existence of critical elements of our nuclear capability. In a testimony, reported on 26th March 2016, the Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, Rose Gottemoeller, commented on Pakistan’s tactical nuclear weapons that represent a grave threat to any Indian advance, proclaiming “…we are really quite concerned about this and we have made our concerns known and we will continue to press them about what we consider to be the destabilizing aspects of their battlefield nuclear weapons program.”
