Pakistan’s Rulers “Restraint” before India Allows its Rise as an Undeserving Regional Power
Four Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred by shelling across the Line of Control in Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Jandrot sector on 15 January 2018, according to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The latest incident of cross-border firing comes soon after the Indian Army Chief, Gen Bipin Rawat, threatened to call Pakistan’s “nuclear bluff” in a statement regarded as reckless and irresponsible by Pakistan’s rulers. According to the Foreign Office, Indian forces have committed more than 70 ceasefire violations along the LoC and Working Boundary since the beginning of 2018.
Indian aggression along the Line of Control has become a norm. It appears that India is not targeting the armed forces of Pakistan but rather those of Nepal or Bhutan. India has been encouraged to follow the path of aggression without any fear of repercussion, because the regime is binding our armed forces according to the US State Department’s order for “restraint.” This policy has been adopted because the Trump administration wants India to project itself as a regional power, to limit the influence of China. Due to the “restraint” policy, Pakistan’s National Security Advisor is frequently meeting the Indian NSA. According to the Indian newspaper, The Hindu, Indian and Pakistani National Security Advisors, Ajit Doval and Gen. (Retd) Naseer Janjua, have been meeting and speaking on the telephone more regularly, than they have officially confirmed. They held at least three meetings in Bangkok and one in Russia, according to sources in Delhi and Islamabad.
So is this General Bajwa’s doctrine, as stated by the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major-General Asif Ghafoor, on 11th January 2018 when he said, “The Gen Bajwa doctrine will bring a durable peace in the country.” Is this the durable peace that General Bajwa looking and working for, wherein India martyrs our soldiers and civilians without fear of reprisal? It is now surprise that frequent meetings between the NSA’s of both countries has encouraged Indian in its aggression. When an enemy like India sees receives peace requests, rather than befitting military responses, it is encouraged to attack Muslims of Kashmir and Pakistan.
Muslims will never find peace in the face of Indian aggressions through negotiations and “restraint.” India needs a befitting reply which will make the Hindu state humiliated and disgraced so that it retreats from its rising arrogance. Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable and have the desire as well to do so. However, this will only happen after the establishment of Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood. Allah (swt) said,
وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّىٰ لاَ تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ ٱلدِّينُ للَّهِ
“And fight them until there is no more Fitnah and worship is for Allah (Alone).”
(Surah al-Baqarah 2:193)
How did a Hindu General get the Courage to Call Our Nuclear Arsenal a Bluff?
The Indian Chief’s recent aggressive posturing is a consequence of Pakistan’s policy of “restraint.” India, a US ally, proxy for containing China and building Afghanistan, made disrespectful remarks against Pakistan’s Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan at the same time presenting itself as a “big brother” in the region. On 12 January 2018, General Rawat said, “We will call the [nuclear] bluff of Pakistan. If we will have to really confront, and a task is given to us, we are not going to say we cannot cross the border because they have nuclear weapons. We will have to call their nuclear bluff.”
The weak stance of Pakistan’s leadership has given such courage to the cowardly Hindus. After all Bajwa has neither responded to India’s atrocities in Occupied Kashmir nor Indian aggression over the LOC nor Kulbhushan Jadhav’s spy work nor RAW activity to create insurgencies. Due to Bajwa’s spineless leadership, the US and India have the impression that, “the lion no longer chases the prey, threatens it, tracks it or attacks it. Even its roar has become more of a whimper and carries no action behind it.” In addition Bajwa has called for talks with India to facilitate trade and energy routes to India from the Central Asian Republics, in addition to his recent call for the normalisation of relationships with India. He has also continued to allow the US to strengthen India in Afghanistan, thus surrounding Pakistan from east and west.
So, it is no wonder that India would have the courage for degrading statements, with a weak General sitting across the border. However our armed forces are the lions of this Ummah who have been shackled and bound. The Hindus that are present in hundreds of thousands in Kashmir could not even defeat few thousand poorly armed Muslim fighters in decades, so how will they face the Pakistan Army? The superpower of today, America, depends on our Army to stay in the region, fearful of expulsion. The Jews fear lest the Pakistan Army answer the call from Masjid al-Aqsa to liberate it, to the point that the thought of it keeps them awake in their beds.
Our armed forces are the lion who has been told that it cannot confront even the smallest of creatures. Just one strike of its limb will make clear to all the strength of the Muslim Ummah over all the other nations of the world. Allah (swt) said,
يا أيها الذين ءامنوا قاتِلوا الذين يَلونكم من الكفار وَلْيجِدوا فيكمْ غِلْظَةً واعْلَموا أنَّ اللّـهَ مع المتقين
“O you who believe! Fight the Unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him.”
(Surah At-Tawba 9:123)
It is upon the armed forces to reject this defeatist and treacherous regime, rise and grant the Nussrah to Hizb ut Tahrir for the re-establishment of the Islamic Khilafah. Only through the implementation of Islam can we bear witness to the prophecy of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, reported by Abu Hurairah:
«وَعَدَنا رسولُ اللّـهِ (ص) غزوةَ الهند، فإنْ أدركتُها أُنْفِقْ نفسي ومالي، وإنْ قُتِلْتُ كنتُ أفضلَ الشهداء، وإنْ رجعتُ فأنا أبو هريرة الـمُحَرَّرُ»
“The Messenger ﷺ promised us the conquest of India. If I was to come across that, I will spend my soul and my wealth. If I am killed then I am among the best of martyrs, and if I return then I am Abu Huraira the freed” [Ahmad, An-Nisa’i, Al-Hakim].

«عِصابتان من أُمّتي أَحْرَزَهُما اللّـهُ من النار: عِصابةٌ تغزو الهندَ، وعِصابةٌ تكون مع عيسى ابن مريم عليهما السلام»
“Two groups of my Ummah Allah has protected from the Hellfire: a group that will conquer India and a group that will be with ‘Isa ibnu Maryam.” [Ahmad and An-Nisa’i]
The US is Desperate for Talks with Taliban to Grant Political Legitimacy to its Occupation, so Pakistan’s Rulers Come to its Rescue
Returning from a UN Security Council visit to Afghanistan, US Ambassador Nikki Haley on 17 January 2018 stressed the Kabul government wants world powers to step up pressure on Pakistan. Haley joined the 14 other council envoys for talks with top Afghan leaders in Kabul at the weekend as the government considers holding peace talks with the Taliban to end decades of insurgency. “They feel confident that the Taliban will be coming to the table,” Haley told reporters at UN Headquarters. While the peace talks will be Afghan-led, the Kabul government did request that the Security Council weigh in to bring Pakistan onboard. “They did ask us for consensus to put further pressure on Pakistan to come to the table and change their behavior,” Haley said.
Instead of allowing the US to die its own death and retreat in complete humiliation like the British Empire and Soviet Russia before it, Pakistan’s rulers are coming to the US’s rescue by isolating and pressurizing the Taliban for talks. In its press release No PR-19/2018-ISPR of January 12, 2018, the ISPR confirmed regarding General Bajwa’s conversation with the US Commander General Votel, “”He said that Pakistan is fully aware of US concerns on activities of Afghan nationals in Pakistan and we are already undertaking multiple actions through Operation ‘Radd ul Fasaad’ to deny any residual capacity to terrorists of all hue and colour for which return of Afghan Refugees is an essential prerequisite. Pakistan is also strengthening border controls unilaterally but if Afghanistan genuinely feels affected from Pakistan, bilateral border management must be Kabul’s top priority as well… COAS further said that Pakistan will keep supporting all initiatives for peace in Afghanistan despite the tendency to scapegoat Pakistan, as peace in Afghanistan is the only way to move towards enduring peace and stability in the region.” So, Bajwa continues to do more for the US, in order to save its occupation of small groups of poorly armed, but highly motivated Taliban. Pakistan’s rulers continue to give NATO supply routes by land and air and are considering helping the US further by giving it access to Gwadar. They have reaffirmed that they are still sharing intelligence with the crusaders as well as military-to-military contact.
In reality there was never, no more. It was always obey the US and do more but for free, without support and receive US insults for the efforts. It is time to tear up the alliance with the belligerent US, who strengthens India, while humiliating Pakistan, while knowing that only Pakistan can save the US in Afghanistan. It is time to let the US fail, in its war, and be humiliated in Afghanistan, precipitating its retreat from Afghanistan as a prelude to its retreat from the entire Muslim World. Allah (swt) said,
الَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِن دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِندَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا
“Those who take disbelievers for Auliya’ (protectors or helpers or friends) instead of believers, do they seek honour, power and glory with them? Verily, then to Allah belongs all honour, power and glory.”
(Surah An-Nisa 4:139)
