The United Nations is a Colonialist Tool Against Islam and Muslims
Dawn reported on 13 February that President Mamnoon Hussain quietly promulgated an ordinance amending the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 on 9 February, with regards to proscription of terrorist individuals and organisations to include entities listed by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). A major impact of the new ordinance would be the proscription of Hafiz Saeed-linked JuD and FIF along with the UN listed outfits of Al Akhtar Trust and Al Rashid Trust.
It is no secret that the United Nations is dominated by a select club of colonialist states that safeguard their interests through its Security Council. For all the colonialist states, Jihad against foreign occupation in Muslim lands has become a major concern after the fall of Soviet Russia. It is of particular concern to the foremost colonialist state, the US, after she invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. America has been demanding from the political and military leadership of Pakistan to curb the activities of those organizations who support Jihad in Kashmir, even if they only provide relief goods through charity organizations. Pakistan’s political and military leadership usually directly obeys the US, but if this creates incites anti-US sentiments against the rulers, than the US uses the United Nations as a cover for her agents, so that they can plea to the Muslims that we are not following US demands, rather the demand of an international organization. After this amendment in the Anti-Terrorism Act neither the political nor military leadership can maintain their claim of a “double game” or maintain that they are sincere with the Muslims of Occupied Kashmir and their Jihad against Indian occupying forces. It has been confirmed now that both political and military leadership is fulfilling US demands to allow the rise of India as the regional hegemon.
Islam simply forbids the Kuffar having authority over the affairs of Muslims, as occurs in the UN. Allah (swt) said,
وَلَن يَجْعَلَ ٱللَّهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلاً
“And never will Allah grant to the disbelievers a way (to triumph) over the believers”
(Surah Al-Nisa:141)
Islam forbids referring the affairs of Muslims to an authority that is upon other than Islam, a Taghut, such as the UN. Allah (swt) said,
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُواْ بِمَآ أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَآ أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَحَاكَمُوۤاْ إِلَى ٱلطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُوۤاْ أَن يَكْفُرُواْ بِهِ وَيُرِيدُ ٱلشَّيْطَانُ أَن يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلاَلاً بَعِيداً
“Have you seen those (hyprocrites) who claim that they believe in that which has been sent down to you, and that which was sent down before you, and they wish to go for judgement (in their disputes) to the Taghut (false judges, etc.) while they have been ordered to reject them. But Shaitan (Satan) wishes to lead them far astray”
(Surah An-Nisa’a 4:60)
Thus Hizb ut Tahir adopted in Article 191 of its Introduction to the Constitution that, “The State is forbidden to belong to any organisation which is based on anything other than Islam or which applies non-Islamic rules. This includes international organisations like the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, and regional organisations like the Arab League.”
Efforts to Expel the Faltering US are Mandatory Now
According to an Armed Forces’ Press Release No PR-66/2018-ISPR, dated February 13, 2018, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) attended Chiefs of Defence (CHOD) Conference held at Kabul. Commander USCENTCOM, Commander Resolute Support Mission (RSM) and Army Chiefs of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan also attended. The press release further stated that Pakistan’s Army Chief said, “Pakistan has eliminated all terrorist sanctuaries from its soil, however, residual signatures of terrorists who take advantage of presence of 2.7 million Afghan refugees and absence of effective border security coordination, are also being traced and targeted through ongoing operation Radd ul Fasaad. He also assured that Pakistani territory is not allowed to be used against any other country and Pakistan expects the same in reciprocity.”
The US presence has caused immense disruption to the region and Pakistan has borne the brunt of it. The US is now exhausted and is demanding talks as well as an end to its suffering at the hands of the determined tribal fighters. Instead of denying the US directives, the current rulers of Pakistan come to its assistance through alliance with the US. This is even though Islam forbids alliance with an enemy that despises our Deen, fights Muslims all over the world and aids others in fighting them, even though Allah (swt) said,
إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمْ اللَّهُ عَنْ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَى إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمْ الظَّالِمُونَ
“Allah forbids your alliance with those who fight you because of your Deen, and drive you from your homelands, or aid others to do so: and as for those who turn to them in alliance, they are truly oppressors.”
(Surah al-Mumtahina 60:9)
And they claim that they will bring peace and prosperity for us, when alliance with the enemy is the assured path for destruction and poverty. Allah (swt) warned,
مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ كَمَثَلِ الْعَنكَبُوتِ اتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا ۖ وَإِنَّ أَوْهَنَ الْبُيُوتِ لَبَيْتُ الْعَنكَبُوتِ ۖ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
“The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.”
(Surah Al-Ankabut 29:41)
Rather than working for the relief of the US, it is time to cut the thread by which the US presence hangs by cutting the supply line for US forces that runs through Pakistan, denying the US intelligence and air space for its drones and expelling the US private military and intelligence, as well as giving substantial support to the tribal Muslims in expelling the foreign occupying forces. This will never occur under the current leadership and so the restoration of the Khilafah on the Method of Prophethood is the need of the time.
Reject the Westphalia Nation State Concept Which Enables the Colonialist to Divide and Rule over Muslims
General Qamar Javed Bajwa said on 13 February at a conference in Kabul, “Regions develop as a whole, not individual countries.” However, there can never be peace and prosperity as long as the US influence remains dominant over the regimes in Afghanistan and Pakistan and the Muslim Lands of Pakistan and Afghanistan remain divided. It is collaboration by both the regimes in Afghanistan and Pakistan with the US that has caused constant violence and chaos in Pakistan, through the US giving a free hand to India in Afghanistan. Similarly, it is Pakistan’s provision of a supply route, intelligence sharing and bases to the US which has caused a blood bath in Afghanistan. Using the Westphalian concept of the nation state, the colonialists have divided and ruled over the Muslims of the region. The Durand Line that divides Pakistan and Afghanistan is a colonialist invention to weaken Muslims. Islam mandates that the Muslims reject nationalism and unify as one Ummah under one Khaleefah.
The Muslims of Pakistan and Afghanistan must reject their regimes’ cooperation and collaboration with the US as well as the division of their lands. They most both reject the Westphalian concept of nation state and work to unify as one state, ruling by Islam. They must call for the armed forces of Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as the Muslims from the tribal regions, to unify as one force, wiping out the border that divides them and displacing the US and India from Afghanistan.
Indeed, peace and stability can only be established in the region by establishing the Khilafah on the Method of the Prophethood in Pakistan and mobilizing all economic, political and military resources to liberate Afghanistan and unify Pakistan and Afghanistan as one Khilafah as the beginning of the unification of the entire Ummah. As Hizb ut Tahrir stated in Article 189 of the Introduction to the Constitution that, “All the existing states in the Islamic world are considered to be part of one land and therefore they are not included within the sphere of foreign affairs. Relations with these countries are not considered to be in the realm of foreign policy and it is obligatory to work to unify all these countries into one state.”
