A Large Population is a Blessing and It is Inadequate Distribution that Must be Resolved

Dawn reported on 3rd July, 2018 that the Chief Justice of Pakistan expressed concern while hearing a suo moto case regarding increasing population in the country. He said, “Is the country capable of supporting seven children per family”, adding that there was not enough water and food for the children being born in the country. He further added, “The rate at which the population is growing in the country is [no less than] a bomb.” Expressing concern over the ballooning population, Justice Nisar said that the authorities need to take immediate action to control the situation. He ordered all stakeholders of the case to submit recommendations to the court and adjourned the hearing for a while.

The Chief Justice Mr. Saqib Nisar has actually missed the point. The problem is not the large population but inadequate distribution of the abundant resources of Pakistan. Even though successive democratic governments have failed to give proper attention to agriculture and related industrial sector, Alhamdullilah Pakistan still is included amongst the top exporters of major food items in the world. Pakistan is one of the world’s largest producers and suppliers of food and crops according to the different sources and ranked in the world as follows in major food exports Wheat (7th), Rice (11th),  Chickpea (3rd), Apricot (6th),  Cotton (4th), Milk (4th), Date Palm (5th), Sugarcane (5th), Onion (7th), Kinnow, mandarin oranges, clementine (6th) and  Mango (4th). Furthermore, Pakistan ranks eighth worldwide in farm output and even in its current neglected state can provide for all of its population.

Moreover, America does not tolerate a high birthrate in Islamic Lands, because more young people means even bigger Muslim armies and work forces. On 26 November 1975 in the National Security Decision Memorandum 314, the American government decided to control the birth rate in several named Muslim countries, including Pakistan, using the United Nations, World Bank and World Health Organisation. On page 21 of the National Security Council’s “Implications of Worldwide Population Growth for US Security and Overseas Interests”, the Council describes how large population growth in one Muslim country leads to a “growing political and strategic role.” Also, it is always youth that brings radical change and already many young men and women are working to liberate the Islamic Lands from American hegemony. On page 80, the Council describes how “positions on international issues likely will become radicalized, inevitably in opposition to US interests on major issues.” Finally, by reducing the growth of Muslims, America will have even greater access to the immense wealth in Islamic Lands. On page 43, the Council states that, “the US economy will require large and increasing amounts of minerals from abroad, especially from less developed countries.”

Islam has encouraged Muslims to give birth to as many as children they can as said by Prophet ﷺ, «تَزَوَّجُوا الْوَدُودَ الْوَلُودَ فَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمُ الأَنْبِيَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» “Get married to the tender and fertile for indeed I like my Ummah to outnumber others on the Day of Judgement.” [Reported by Ahmad]. The Khilafah state will focus on the right issue, that of distribution of wealth within the society. This is so Muslims can bring up their children well, as is their right and is within the capability of the resource rich Muslim Lands. The increased population will make for a large, youthful work force for a dynamic industry and large armed forces to secure the liberation of Muslim Lands and opening new lands for Islam.

Pakistan can only become an Islamic State by Establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan, on 9 July 2018 unveiled his party’s much-awaited manifesto for general elections 2018, announcing that he would turn Pakistan into a welfare state if voted into power. Titled “Road to Naya Pakistan”, the manifesto is composed of seven chapters and explains in detail the PTI’s agenda for the next government. One of the primary points of the manifesto, Khan said, is to turn Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state — a model the principles of which he said are also followed in Scandinavian countries.

Pakistan can only become an Islamic state if the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood is established. It alone will enforce laws derived from the Quran and Sunnah in every field of life. In the run up to the 25 July 2018 elections, most of the democratic political parties in Pakistan are using terms like “Islamic welfare state,” “Madina State” or “like Khilafah.” This simply shows that the Muslims of Pakistan strongly desire the implementation of Islam. However, the manifestos of democratic political parties lack any Islamic vision. This is evident when the one how claims to want to turn Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state, in the same breath compares it with the Scandinavians countries which are secular, liberal and capitalist, where sovereignty belongs to people.

We know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ established the Madina state on Islam. In the Islamic State, sovereignty belongs to only Allah (swt) in every field of life whether ruling, economy, judiciary, foreign policy, education and social matters. If the PTI manifesto really was to make Pakistan an Islamic State, then why does it not declare the abolition of all non-Islamic taxes such as GST, Income Tax and Withholding Tax and implement Islamic taxes such as Kharaj, Usher, Rikaz, Zakah and Jizya? It has not called for the abolition of the interest based banking system which is a war against Allah swt and His Messenger ﷺ. It has not called for the end of fiat currency and the establishing of currency based on Gold and Silver, as Islam has mandated. The PTi has not declared oil, gas, electricity and minerals as public properties, as Islam mandates. It has not called for the abolition of the judiciary left by British Raj which decides matters on manmade laws. It does not call for a judiciary which will decide matters only from Quran and Sunnah, ensuring swift justice for Muslims. It does not call for severing of ties with US and India, who are open enemies of Islam, Muslims and Pakistan. Nor has the manifesto called for education based on Islam that will produced Islamic personalities. None of the above have been adopted by Scandinavian countries which is why they call themselves liberal, secular, capitalist democracies.

The Muslims of Pakistan must not be deceived by these secular, capitalist democratic manifestos. They will only maintain the status quo and are not made to bring real change. Real change is the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood and Hizb ut Tahrir is the only Islamic political party working for real change in all Muslim countries. So, the Muslim masses must abandon democracy and democratic parties and work with Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Pakistan which launched its manifesto on 9th of Ramadhan 1439 Hijri, 25th May 2018, which can be downloaded from this link: https://goo.gl/XaRnFg

The Role of the Armed Forces Must Give Nussrah for the Khilafah, Rather Than Guard Polling Booths of Democracy

Announcing the largest troops’ deployment for the general elections in the country’s history, the army on 10 July 2018 broke its silence on the allegations about military and intelligence agencies trying to influence the upcoming polls. The army, moreover, pledged to remain neutral in the voting process, but asked voters to exercise prudence while electing their representatives for the national and provincial legislatures. “What you sow on Election Day, you will reap over the next five years. You have to sow and you have to reap. The armed forces do not benefit or lose from it,” military spokesman Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor said at a media briefing and vowed on behalf of the troops to perform the role assigned to them in an “apolitical and neutral” manner.

It is not for our armed forces to remain neutral on the issue of Democracy, because it is a kufr system, that governs by man-made law, rather than implementing laws derived from the Quran and Sunnah. Islam makes it clear that the people of power and strength have a duty to remove the kufr system and replace it by Islam.

RasulAllah ﷺ did not enter the kufr system in order to remove it or change it, even when he was offered to become its head. And he ﷺ did not accept power, even when he was asked to accept a single condition of compromise. Instead to remove the kufr regime, RasulAllah ﷺ stripped it of its very support within the entire society. RasulAllah ﷺ stripped the support of kufr from within the people, by boldly rejecting the system of kufr and calling the people openly to Islam. Moreover, he ﷺ stripped the kufr rule of its physical support from those who had the material power to secure its survival. He ﷺ personally met the men of war, fire and steel, and demanded from them the Nussrah for the Deen. He ﷺ travelled near and far, in hardship and in ease, to secure the Nussrah for Islam as a state. He ﷺ sought the strong, discerning material capability in detail, asking «وهل عند قومك منعة؟» “Do your people have strength?” and rejecting those too weak to secure Islam from its enemies. Thus he met many tribes including; Banu Kalb, Banu Hanifah, Banu Amr bin Sa’asah, Banu Kinda and Banu Shaiban.  He ﷺ persisted in this methodology patiently until Allah granted success in the matter of Nussrah, with the Ansar (ra), a small but sincere and brave group from within the men of war. And so Nussrah for Islam as a rule was secured by the methodology of the Prophethood, transforming the torn and divided Yathrib into a powerful beacon for Islam, Madinah Al-Manawwarah.
