US Wants to Burn Our Armed Forces ‘from Waziristan to Karachi’ so America Can Sustain Its Presence

The United States has conveyed its intense desire to engage our armed forces from North Waziristan to Karachi. In a policy statement, read out at a convention convened by the Pakistan Embassy on 3 October 2015, US Deputy Special Representative Jonathan Carpenter said, “The government of Pakistan, across all its agencies civil, military, intelligence, is engaged in a full-throttle battle against extremism within its borders… The continuing fight there, the efforts in Karachi and elsewhere to weed out militarism, is fundamental to Pakistan’s survival.” Mr Carpenter dispelled the impression that the United States was leaving the region by 2016 or any time soon by saying, “We have maintained assistance levels in Pakistan and Afghanistan, which is way above anything we are doing globally.” The United States, he said, had invested “blood’ and resources in this region and there’s was a recognition in Washington that “these investments must be nurtured, supported, and sustained”. The US commitment to the region was “absolute and sustaining.”

American presence in the region is facing opposition as the Soviet Russian and British Imperialist presence did before it. Fundamentally, nations do not accept foreign occupation. America knows this well as it sent the British packing in its own War of Independence and fiercely resisted any foreign interference through its Monroe doctrine. Moreover, Muslims have an Islamic obligation to resist foreign occupation. America knows this well too as it encouraged this Islamic sentiment in Pakistan when Russia was doing the occupying. There was no talk of extremism, militancy and militarism then. There was no pressure to describe Jihad as terrorism. There was no attempt to tar Jihad with the black cruelty of sectarian violence. There was a clear distinction between those who were fighting foreign occupation and the twisted people who slaughter over religious belief. It praised the work of the Pakistani armed forces’ intelligence in giving the mujahideen motivation and direction.

However, now America has been given a thorough hiding for over ten years, exposing the cowardice of its troops in spite of immense weaponry, it has overturned all that itself encouraged in the time of General Zia. Now we are to denounce Jihad because it is against America. Now we are to deliberately and insincerely blur the lines between sectarian lunacy and noble resistance to foreign occupation. Now our armed forces are commissioned as a cavalry for the struggling Americans, burning our own fellow Muslims in a demoralizing war of Fitna. The difference between the time of General Zia and Raheel was that formerly we felt little collision with our Islamic sentiments, but now we face a barrage of self-justification and re-imaginings in a futile bid to explain away our wholesale departure from Islamic commands.

The way forward? We should either abandon independence as a lie, salute the Americans and fall in line as a completely colonised slave race or we should take up the mantle of our esteemed Deen, proud legacy of Muslim rule and embrace our destiny under Islam bravely and boldly.

Syria’s Tyrant is Collapsing, Pakistan’s Regime Maintains Criminal Silence and Inaction

Dawn reported on 5 October 2015 that President Bashar al-Assad said the success of a military campaign by Russia, Syria and its allies was vital to save the Middle East from destruction, a day after Moscow said it would step up air strikes against the self-styled Islamic State (IS) across Syria. “It must succeed otherwise we face the destruction of the entire region, not only one or two states,” he said in an interview with Iranian television broadcast on 4 October 2015.

The urgent plea from Syria’s tyrant is in the context of the frantic entry of Russia on the front line; with its war planes targeting several areas in Homs and Hama. This intervention has proved to everyone that the fight against so-called terrorism is not confined to the manufactured ISIS organization only. The attacks are subject to the interests of the West and its agents, and proved that the West puts all factions in one basket without distinction between the Free Army and Islamists. Also it proved that those claiming its friendship with the Syrian people; and the supporters of the regime are in the same trench against Ash-Sham’s revolution. It is the same mission: the protection of the tumbling Syrian regime to prevent the return of Islam.

The Syrian tyrant’s urgent plea includes mention of the West’s great fear that Islam should return in one Muslim country, the current heated atmosphere in the Ummah will mean that the fall of other regimes and their annexation to the Khilafah will be an inevitable matter. It will be a domino effect which will sever the hands of the Western interference in the Muslim World.

And the Syrian tyrant’s desperate cries should be an encouragement for the Muslim armed forces to release themselves from the control of puppet rulers who sold their Deen cheaply for this Dunya. It is clear that there can be no hope in the current rulers, who either maintain criminal silence over the Western efforts to prevent the return of Islam, or actively assist the West. Indeed, colonialist agents who converted our armed forces into tools to maintain their power and to abort all attempts to overthrow them deserve no loyalty. The impending collapse of Assad is a call for the sincere in the armed forces to shake off any fear or longing for Dunya and redouble their efforts to secure the Nussrah for the return of the Khilafah.

Democracy is the Institutional Source of Corruption including Mega-Project Mega-Scams

A debate in the Senate on a report of the special committee on corruption on 6 October turned into a mudslinging match between the ruling PML-N and the opposition PPP when members of the two parties accused each other of committing massive corruption during their stints in the government. Opposition Leader Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan highlighted the alleged “mega scams” of the government like Nandipur and Metro bus projects and asked how Nawaz Sharif, who had paid only Rs477 income tax in three years from 1994 to 1996, had become a billionaire. The remarks were sufficient to provoke the most articulate speaker of the PML-N in the Senate, Mushahidullah Khan, to launch attacks on the PPP and its leadership for its alleged involvement in corrupt practices.

Such mudslinging will never end corruption because it does not target the real root of corruption, Democracy. Democracy ensures that the large sources of public or state revenue, such as the energy and mineral sectors or the large scale telecommunications, transport and construction, are being handed over to private parties through systematic privatization as “mega-projects.” This is the institutionalized corruption that Democracy has unleashed wherever it is implemented, leading to immensely rich politicians and ever increasing concentration of wealth in the hands of a few. If America and Britain are not exceptions, then how can Pakistan ever be?

In Pakistan, Democracy has deprived us of the means to secure our essential expenses, including health and education and then burdens us with ever increasing rates and types of taxation, crippling our manufacturing and trading. As if this all were not bad enough, Democracy is plunging us deeper into debt to the IMF and other colonialist financial institutions, taking more loans with interest such that we will never ever be able to pay back the principle. There is no way to fix Democracy or the political class that it creates. Time for real change. Abolish Democracy and establish the Khilafah Rashida upon the method of the Prophethood, where no man can make laws according to his benefit and all men are subject to the commands of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His Messenger ﷺ.

Engineer belonging to Hizb ut Tahrir arrested for Working for Khilafah

The electronic and print media is full of reports regarding the Karachi police claim that on 6 October 2015 that they have arrested an engineering and business graduate, who has allegedly been working for a banned organisation in Karachi’s south district, in the Boat Basin area of Clifton. “The suspect was arrested in the Boat Basin area on Tuesday under Section 11EEEE (1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act,” said Mazhar Mashwani of the Counter-Terrorism Department of police. “We have also recovered from his possession several pamphlets of the organisation which he used to distribute outside mosques,” the officer added. “The suspect is motivated by lectures and sermons of Dr Israr Ahmed of the Tanzeem-i-Islami and is a follower of him,” said Mr Mashwani. “We have not yet found their history of terrorism,” said SSP Amir Farooqi of the CTD when asked about key charges against the suspect arrested in Clifton.

It is regrettable and unacceptable that in a country established in the name of Islam, as a platform for Muslims and a fortress of Islam, those who undertake political actions for the sake of the return of the Khilafah to Pakistan are treated as criminals and vilified as misguiding the people. This policy of the regime collides with the sentiments and aspirations of the Muslims of Pakistan because it is a policy that has been imported from Washington. Indeed the core concepts of the “National Action Plan” are the direct output of a major American initiative, the Pakistan-US Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism and Law Enforcement (JWG-CTLE). This body has a profound effect on Pakistan because the US Department of State, US Department of Justice and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), all contribute to it. Since the JWG-CTLE was announced in February 2002 by the US State Department, it has guided America’s agents regarding suppressing the call for Islam, Jihad and Khilafah, from the “Enlightened Moderation” of the Musharraf-Aziz regime to the current regime’s “National Action Plan.”

Such imported foreign solutions will fail in Pakistan as it is like trying to mix oil with water. Furthermore those who implement these foreign colonialist policies are only condemning themselves to further discrediting before the ever awakening Ummah of Islam.

Policies over Durand Line are Fashioned According to American Requirements

With the security situation in Afghanistan deteriorating fast, military’s top brass on 8 October deliberated on controlling the long and porous border, the Durand Line, between Pakistan and its western neighbour. “External security situation was comprehensively discussed with particular emphasis on situation in Afghanistan and border management issues on Pak-Afghanistan border,” ISPR said in a statement on the Corps Commanders Conference held at General Headquarters. “Practical steps are required to manage Pak-Afghan border for gainful conclusion of Operation Zarb-i-Azb,” Gen Sharif had earlier said at the CENTCOM Asia Security Conference on Sept 29.

The problem with current policies regarding the Durand Line is that they are based on American requirements. The current generation of Corps Commanders are those officers who have been in active service both during the era of General Zia and General Musharraf. Both eras show the dangers of aligning our foreign policy to that of America for America is always a master in any alliance and can never be a friend. America tolerated Islamic sentiments during the time of General Zia as they were directed at the Soviet Russian occupation across the Durand Line. However, General Zia was never sincere to the implementation of Islam and abused it to maintain American control in the region. In the era of Musharraf, since America itself was the occupation force, America has launched a campaign to strip the armed forces and the society in general of any Islamic sentiments so that it can remain undisturbed across the Durand Line. This campaign’s previous incarnation was Enlightened Moderation and the current incarnation is the National Action Plan. Again neither General Musharraf was ever sincere to Islam and the stripping away of Islam was only to maintain American control in the region.

Pakistan is in dire need of a leadership that is sincere to Islam and will implement it comprehensively and exclusively. Only then will there be a policy towards the Durand Line that will strengthen Muslims against their enemies. Islam mandates the obliteration of all borders that divide the Muslim Lands, for these are only a legacy of the colonialist divide and rule policy and a violation of the Islamic command for unification of Muslim Lands under a single Khaleefah.
