The Regime is Responsible for the Increased Use of Intoxicants

As reported in Dawn dated 1 March 2017, at a seminar titled “war on drugs: awareness session” organized by the University of Agriculture Faisalabad on Tuesday, Dr Asif Bajwa, a psychiatrist, said either curiosity or peer pressure moved the youth to use drugs. “Currently 8m people are addicts in Pakistan and this strength is increasingly.” He lamented that usage of sheesha was becoming common in youth and some of the sheesha sellers were distributing heroin. It is a shocking revelation that eight million people, mainly youth, are afflicted by drug addiction in Pakistan. The increase in consumption of intoxicants amongst youth is a direct consequence of the Western liberal values and policies enforced by successive regimes in Pakistan. Moreover, several reports have been published reflecting the damaging effects of such policies and values. “The News” reported that the Dr Maria Sultan, Director General of South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) presented a study to the Senate Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control on 19 October 2016, stating that, “The average age of students in the private schools, in which nearly 44 to 53 percent of pupils are taking either artificial or hard drugs or were addicted to heroin, is in the age groups 12-16 and 16-19… At some schools the intoxicants are available at canteens, while addicts also get them easily from street vendors.”

The rise in intoxicant use is the direct result of liberalization adopted by the government in a bid to please its Western masters. The Western liberal value of “personal freedom” is a poison to all societies, including the Western societies, destroying family values, modesty, chastity and dignity.  According to “personal freedom” every human being has the right to live his private life as he wishes unless he transgresses against the private lives of other people, so he has the right to eat, drink and wear whatever he wants within the public laws. He has the right to marry or to have extra-marital relationships with any woman as long as it is done with her consent. In secularism, the concept of Halal and Haram does not exist when it comes to personal conduct, as long as the person behaves lawfully. “Lawful behavior” in the Capitalist societies is subject to disparity from one society to another and from one time to another, leaving man adrift and deprived of guidance. Yet, the regime is promoting “personal freedom” through the electronic media, mixing of genders, music and dance festivals, corrupt extracurricular activities in many schools and the celebration of non-Islamic rituals at a state level.

The Western states have over decades organized countless anti-drug campaigns and implemented a raft of anti-drug legislation, yet the epidemic of drug and alcohol addiction continues within their societies. It is only by rejecting the Western liberal values and reviving and strengthening the Islamic concepts in the minds of the youth and the general society, that the drugs problem can be solved. This is because it is the Islamic beliefs alone which build personalities who live according to the concept of accountability to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, shunning all intoxicants and the hedonistic lifestyle. Such personalities understand that every action is linked to reward or punishment in the Hereafter. The Muslims therefore must reject the toxic liberal system and support the urgent establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood. Only Islam will save our Muslim youth from destruction, secure  good futures for them, make them devoted servants of their Rabb and support them in achieving success in the Hereafter. So for our own sake, let us raise our voices against the oppressors and remove the oppression. RasulAllah said, «إنَّ النَّاسَ إَذا رَأوُا الظَّالِمَ فَلمْ يَأْخُذُوا عَلى يَدَيْهِ أوْشَكَ أن يَعُمَّهُمُ اللَّهُ بعِقَاب»If the people witness an oppressor and they do not take him by his hands (to prevent him) then they are close to Allah covering them all with punishment.” [Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, ibn Majah]

The Khilafah will Revive the Economy, not the ECO

The Economic Cooperation Organization issued its “ECO Islamabad Declaration” on 1 March 2017. (http://www.ecosecretariat.org/in2.htm) which confirmed, “Resolving to work together, including by positioning the ECO to effectively address these challenges and to seize the opportunities for the collective benefit of the Region and its people.”  The ECO has not ever effectively addressed any matter and there are clear reasons for the ineffectiveness of many of these forums. Its Muslim member states are subordinate to the colonialist states. Through their corporate and multinational companies, colonialists plunder the resources of these states, whilst colonialist institutions such as the IMF and World Bank entrap them under a never ending cycle of debt and debt servicing. And through the World Trade organization (WTO) the colonialists have been enforcing other countries to open up their borders for free trade, whilst they themselves protect segments of local industry from opening up the door for free trade. The reliance on these colonialist states will only lead to exploitation of the Muslim resources and an unachievable dream of a sustainable, independent economy. Moreover, even if economic activities are generated, it is always the capitalist elite and their companies that benefit most at the expense of the masses. The masses will be made to work for a utopian day when economic benefits will “trickle down,” whilst every day the elite capitalists stamp their claim on resources, leaving the rest of the population in poverty.

It is high time that Muslims stand for their rights bestowed by Allah سبحانه وتعالى. The Khilafah (Caliphate) upon the Method of Prophethood will neither rely on the belligerent enemy states, nor will they be allowed to influence our policies. The ties will be severed with such states. This will break the shackles of economic enslavement to these colonial states, allowing the Khilafah state to operate independently. The Muslims lands are filled with natural resources. These resources can be easily exchanged between different parts of Muslim lands without the fear of disrupting the local industries, whilst generating considerable economic activity once the borders are abolished. The Khilafah state will abolish the borders between the Muslim states and unify them as one single state which will allow them to operate as a single market. In the Khilafah, public properties, such as oil and gas, will not be privately owned preventing massive concentration of wealth in the hands of a few and so the public will benefit from the revenue generated through these abundant resources. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said:

What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah; for Allah is strict in Punishment.”

(Al-Hashr: 7)

Independent, sustainable economic prosperity cannot be achieved through forums like ECO but only the abolition of Capitalism and nation state orders between Muslims. The need of the time is the return of the Khilafah on the Method of the Prophethood.

Greater India Plan Necessitates Afghan-Pakistan Discord

Over 32,000 Afghans and 2,700 Pakistanis crossed into their respective countries via the Torkham and Chaman crossing points on 8 March 2017 — the last day of reopening of the border with Afghanistan. In two days, over 51,000 Afghans and 4,900 Pakistanis returned to their respective countries after the Pakistan government reopened the border crossings on 7 March. At Torkham, the Frontier Corps in collaboration with the political administration made elaborate security and immigration arrangements in order to facilitate swift and speedy return of Afghans and also to avoid the 7 March situation when the frustrated people broke security barriers and crushed to death an Afghan woman in their desperation to cross the border.

Under guidance of their masters in Washington, the US agents within the Bajwa-Nawaz regime, on one side of the Durand Line, and the Ashraf Ghani regime on the other, are deepening divisions between Pakistan and Afghanistan to ensure the success of the US divide and rule plan for both countries. Pitting Muslims against Muslims and dividing their strength only benefits the dominant colonialist power today, which has eyes on the huge mineral wealth of Afghanistan amongst its many treasures. So that the American Neo-Colonialist of today does not meet the same fate as the British Imperialist and Soviet Russian of yesterday, under the guise of cross border management and border control, both the Pakistani and Afghan regimes will now act as a protective barrier for the US military footprint in Afghanistan. These lowly traitors are shielding the American crusaders from the fierce Muslim tribal resistance from either side of the border, which has prevented the US troops from settling, for their lack of bravery has neither been compensated by their strength in arms nor their long years of trying.

Moreover, this division of Muslims allows the rise of India as the dominant regional power, according to the US “Greater India” plan for the region, which represents even more danger for all Muslims. It has not escaped the notice of the one who cares for the affairs of the Muslims, that India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, opened Afghanistan’s new parliament building in December 2015 and then on 4 June 2016 inaugurated a restored dam near the western city of Herat. And India financed both structures! Also in May 2016, Modi and Ghani stood together, alongside Hassan Rohani, Iran’s president, to strike a partnership to develop Iran’s Chabahar port which will compete with Pakistan’s China-backed port in Gwadar, just 170km east of Chabahar. So fanning nationalistic passions within Pakistan will only create a negative Afghan nationalism which is anti-Pakistan and pro-India, resulting in increasing Indian influence in Afghanistan and reducing feelings of brotherhood.

The division of Muslim Lands has benefited only their enemies and represents a lost opportunity to strengthen the Muslims through their collective pooled resources, which are considerable and the envy of the world and regional powers today. Pakistani and Afghan rulers are fanning the flames of nationalism so brothers fight each other and the focus of the Muslims of the region shifts away from American presence. Muslims will always suffer by succumbing to the poisonous division tactics of Washington and its stooges in the Muslim World, weakening themselves before their enemies by abandoning the command of Islam to unify as one Ummah and one state under a Khaleefah Rashid. Allah سبحانه وتعالى said, إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَة “Indeed, the Believers are but one brotherhood.” [Surah al-Hujarat 49:10] and RasulAllah warned us of weakening ourselves before our enemies through abandoning Islam,«يُوشِكُ الأُمَمُ أنْ تَدَاعَى عَليْكُم كَمَا تَدَاعَى الأكَلَةُ إلَى قَصْعَتِهَا»، فقالَ قَائِلٌ: وَمِنْ قِلّةٍ نَحْنُ يَوْمَئِذٍ؟ قالَ: «حُبّ الدّنْيَا وَكَرَاهِيَةُ المَوْتِ» “The nations will fall upon you, inviting others just like the guests invited to a meal.” They asked, “Will we be few in numbers on that day?” He replied, “No you will be many, but you will be like the froth on the waters. Allah will remove fear of you from the hearts of your enemies and He will cast Wahan in your hearts.” They asked, “What is Wahan, O RasulAllah?” He replied, “Love of life and fear of death.” [Abu Dawud]
