Obituary of a Dawah Carrier in Syria: Abdul Razzaq Sa’eed Barakat

He returned to his Lord on Thursday night, 27 Muharram 1436 AH corresponding to 20/11/2014 CE. He was one of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir working during the darkest times of tyranny and oppression of the despot father, Hafiz Al-Assad. He was arrested during his rule for six years, from 1991 until 1997; he spent them patiently awaiting the reward from Allah. He continued upholding the call and sacrificing for it during the rule of the tyrant son Bashar, and particularly after the start of the blessed revolution of Ash-Sham, calling for the guided Khilafah upon the method of the Prophethood, sacrificing for the Dawah, trusting in the promise of Allah Azza wa Jal and in the glad tiding of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. This is how we saw him and we do not commend any one to Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

“Among the believers there are men who have been true to the contract they made with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pact by death and some are still waiting to do so, not having changed in any way at all.”

(Al-Ahzab, 33:23)

Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Syria mourns with great grief and sorrow, Brother Abdul Razzaq Sa’eed Barakat (Abu Ubaid).

He returned to his Lord on Thursday night, 27 Muharram 1436 AH corresponding to 20/11/2014 CE. He was one of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir working during the darkest times of tyranny and oppression of the despot father, Hafiz Al-Assad. This is how we saw him and we do not commend any one to Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

We ask Allah to grant our brother (Abu Ubaid) the abode of the vast heaven and grant him the companionship of those whom Allah has blessed from the Prophets, Righteous, and Martyrs, they are indeed the best companions.

Indeed, the eyes weep and the hearts grieve, and we are saddened by your departure O Abu Ubaid, but we will not say except what pleases our Lord:

إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”

(Al-Baqara: 156)

ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله

There is no might or power except from Allah.
