Obituary of a Daw’ah Carrier in Sudan: Sheikh Muhammed Yousif Muhammed

May Allah have Mercy upon you, O Abu Yousif, we are Bereaved by your Departure

“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance], and they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration.”

(Al-Ahzaab: 23)

Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Sudan, with conviction in Allah’s سبحانه وتعالى Destiny and submission to His Will, mourns to the Muslims generally, and to the Dawah carriers who are working to resume the Islamic way of life by establishing the Khilafah Rashidah State (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood specifically, a man who dedicated himself and spent his wealth and effort, carrying the Islamic Dawah in order to raise the banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, He is the forgiven by the will of Allah سبحانه وتعالى:

Sheikh Ustadh Muhammed Yousif Muhammed (Abu Yousif) Rahimahu Allah

The former official of Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah Sudan, who has departed from our transient world, moving to the vastness of his Lord’s mercy, on Monday morning 20/2/2017, after a long life spent in obedience to Allah Almighty, carrying the good for the people and invite them to it, working to resume the Islamic way of life, by the establishment of the second Khilafah Rashidah State on the method of Prophethood. He endured for the sake of that prisons and detention centers, in strength and steadiness, not shaken by the tyrants’ cells, and not tempted by their offers. Where he, the forgiven by the will of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, spent eight years in the oppressors’ prisons, after being sentenced to death first, in 1971, and then commuted to life imprisonment.

When politicians from different parties were released in the year 1977, in the so-called reconciliation, he (Rahimahu Allah) with disdain and pride, rejected to write a single line to implore the tyrant to release him, so he remained in prison until Allah released him in the year 1979.

We ask Allah Almighty to grant our deceased and the deceased of the Ummah, His mercy, make his grave a garden of Paradise, and gather us with him, by His permission, in the highest level of Firdaws. And we also ask the Almighty to bestow on us, his family, his neighbors, and his loved ones, patience and consolation.

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”

(Al-Baqarah: 156)

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient * Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return” * Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.

(Al-Baqarah: 155-157)
