Obituary of a Da’wah Carrier in Iraq: Najm Aldeen Mahmoud Ahmad

“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration”

(Al-Ahzaab: 23)

In submission to the command of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and content with His Qadaa, Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Iraq mourns to the Muslims in general, and the people of Iraq specifically, one of its members:

Najm Aldeen Mahmoud Ahmad (Abu Ghofran) Rahimahullah

Whose soul returned to its Creator سبحانه وتعالى in the city of Mosul, almost one week ago, following the fall of a missile as a result of the ongoing military operations there,

He – may Allah have mercy on him – was one of the Da’wah carriers diligently and faithfully working for the implementation of the righteous Khilafah State (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood.

Despite our feelings of intense despair and sadness, we only say that which pleases our Lord سبحانه وتعالى, and indeed, we are sad for your loss dear Abu Ghofran. We ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى to bestow on his family and the members of his Hizb the patience and consolation.

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”

(Al-Baqarah: 156)
