Obituary of a Da’wah Carrier in Iraq

Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Iraq, mourns to the people of Iraq specifically, and to the Muslims in general one of its persistent members of high motivation and determination:

Faisal Abdul Qader Yousef (Abu Omar)

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى have mercy on him.

Who died of illness that pained him since the beginning of the Iran-Iraq war after his arms were amputated and he was subjected to full blood transfusion. Thus, he was diagnosed with that incurable disease “viral Hepatitis C”, since that time he lived carrying that virus, suddenly last week the symptoms of the disease appeared strongly, and his soul returned to its Lord, to his inevitable fate.

The deceased, may Allah’s mercy be upon him, lived a period of 35 years memorising the Qur’an and reciting it, an Imam and a preacher in more than one mosque of the mosques in Mosul, while he was patient, studious, carrying the Da’wah and being faithful to it, he was characterized by a high degree of elegant conduct and high morals which made him very famous in the city and exemplary, and so we consider him, and so we knew of him, though we do not ascribe purity to anyone before Allah سبحانه وتعالى. Indeed his death upsets us, but we say only what pleases our Lord: Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return, and there is no strength or power except with Allah.
