Obituary of a Da’wah Carrier in Crimea: Aliyah Ahmedovna Valieva

With conviction and submission to the destiny and fate of Allah Almighty, the Women’s Section in the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir mourns to the Islamic Ummah as a whole, to the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, the Eminent Scholar Sheikh Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, and to the men and women members of Hizb ut Tahrir, we mourn one of its righteous women members, the forerunners in carrying the Dawah in Crimea:

Sister Aliyah Ahmedovna Valieva (Um Ahmed)

Rahimaha Allah Ta’ala

Her soul ascended to its Lord this morning, Tuesday 30/08/2016 CE, at the age of 38 years after being diagnosed with an incurable illness that she suffered severely from for the past two years.

She, may Allah have mercy on her, was the first member of the Hizb among women in Crimea. She carried the Dawah with dedication and sincere devotion to Allah سبحانه وتعالى; this is how we know her, though we do not ascribe purity to anyone before Allah سبحانه وتعالى. Her husband was suppressed in the prisons of the tyrants of Azerbaijan for seven harsh years. However, she was patient and surrendered her will to Allah, and continued to carry the Dawah vigorously, with fortitude and high determination. Her husband was released from prison ill and she was patient over his illness and has cared for him as required for many years until Allah سبحانه وتعالى tested her with cancer two years ago. Her tongue remained steadfast and moist with the remembrance of Allah, grateful to Him during ease and hardship, until Allah سبحانه وتعالى chose her to return to Him. She passed away this morning.

She is an example of a Dawah carrier who is dedicated to the service of her Deen and her Ummah. And an example of the wife who is patient and seeks her reward with Allah for what He afflicted her husband with of imprisonment for carrying Dawah in the ranks of Hizb ut Tahrir, and for caring for her husband in his illness. She was an example of the mother that brings up her children to love Allah and His Messenger and carry His Call. And an example of a believing woman steadfast during Allah’s testing of her with disease, where she would moan from the severity of her pain while praising Allah for what He has destined for her.

We ask Almighty Allah to bestow His Mercy on her and expand her entry, make honorable her reception, and grant patience, fortitude and good comfort to her family and her relatives.

Indeed, the eyes weep and the hearts grieve and we are bereaved by your departure, O Um Ahmed, but we shall not say anything except that which pleases our Lord:

إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”

(Al-Baqarah: 156)
