Nothing Stops the Bleeding of Tribal Fighting Except the Second Khilafah Rashidah on the Method of the Prophethood

The former and subsequent regimes in Sudan used tribes as fuel for their conflicts, rather, appointment for the position of a minister in the government has been for many decades based on tribal and regional basis. No regime, whether military or civilian, has been spared from this, and the only loser in this conflict are our good people belonging to these tribes. They were, and still are, the ones who are paying the high price; from their blood and their lives. The tribal fighting in Sudan never stopped in one place but to start in another place, all because of the sharp polarization between the components of the government and the opposition. The most recent of such incidents was what happened in the city of Port Sudan of tribal fighting between some tribes of eastern Sudan.

We, in Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Sudan, in the face of these recent events we emphasize the following:

Firstly: Islam has forbidden the blood of a Muslim, and forbidden fighting among Muslims. He ﷺ said: «لا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدي كُفَّاراً يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقابَ بَعْضٍ» “After me (i.e. after my death), do not become disbelievers, by striking (cutting) the necks of one another”. (Sahih al-Bukhari 7077)

And he ﷺ said,«إِذَا الْتَقَى الْمُسْلِمَانِ بِسَيْفَيْهِمَا فَالْقَاتِلُ وَالْمَقْتُولُ فِي النَّارِ»  “If two Muslims confront each other with swords, then both the killer and the killed will be in Hellfire.” (Sahih Muslim 2888)

Second: Islam prohibits fighting under the banner of Assabiyah, whether it is for a tribe or a region. فَقَالَ: وَإِنْ صَلَّى وَصَامَ وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ مُسْلِمٌ»  “And whoever calls with the call of Jahiliyyah (ignorance) then he is from the coals of Hell.” A man said: “O Messenger of Allah! Even if he performs Salat and fasts?” So, he ﷺ said: “Even if he performs Salat and fasts, and claimed that he was a Muslim”. (Tirmidhi, Book 44, Hadith 3102)

Third: The government and the opposition are two sides of the same coin, and they are not expected to radically resolve such conflicts, which they and their supporters are igniting, and what they are doing is merely to alleviate the crisis, the effect of which will soon disappear, and things return to their earlier state.

To our people in eastern Sudan and other regions, the existing political milieu is the cause of crises and problems, and is not expected to solve a problem, because it lacks the conscious political idea, for there is nothing that will stop the bleeding of the tribal fighting except the second Khilafah Rashidah (Caliphate) state on the method of the Prophethood; because it is based on your doctrine, the Aqeedah of the great Islam. It is only it that is capable of melting people in one nation on the basis of the Islamic doctrine, thus, it is an obligation upon all Muslims to work for the establishment of this absent duty. إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ “Truly, this, your Ummah is one, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me”. [Al-Anbiya: 92]
