The Russian intelligence agencies raided and searched the houses of nine Muslim women in the town of Almetyevsk in Tatarstan on 24th March 2016 and arrested 3 from amongst them. They were then transferred to solitary confinement with the charge of being affiliated to Hizb ut Tahrir. The judicial case was raised against them in accordance to part 1 and part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of Russian Federation, related to participation in activities of a terrorist organisation.
March 25th – the court convened a session to look into the necessary procedures to be taken and the result in respect to the sisters who are: Akhmetzyanova Elianora (mother of three including an infant), Mukhametzyanova Gulia (mother of two) and Farrahova Irina (mother of two including an infant), was the passing of the judgment to keep them all under forced house arrest.
The children, including the infants, were kept in the houses whilst the arrests of the Muslim women were made. It appears that this was for the intended purpose of applying pressure upon the mothers to make false confessions to their connection to terrorist activities. It appears that those who are combatting terrorism by the order of the Kremlin, those who are fighting against Islam and the Muslims, have lost their sense of decency. That is because the government knows that those they have arrested have no relationship with terrorism but rather it seems that Russia is being vengeful against Hizb ut Tahrir which is calling the revolutionaries in Syria not to negotiate with the terrorist regime and make waste of the blood of the hundreds of thousands of martyrs of the blessed revolution. In other words, Russia which is unable to break the will of the Muslims of Shaam (Syria) have decided to flex their muscles against defenceless Muslim women residing inside their country.
This has been preceded by relentless efforts made to have Hizb ut Tahrir appear to be a terrorist party. In addition, when they undertake their house raids, make arrests and pass harsh verdicts and sentences against the members of Hizb ut Tahrir, in accordance to the constitutional articles, the society still does not pay any attention to these matters. However, Russia remains the only country in the world that considers Hizb ut Tahrir to be a terrorist party and the names of the members of Hizb ut Tahrir resound amongst them within the lists of political detainees. This is despite the fact that no one in Russia or anywhere else has confirmed that the Hizb has ever undertaken any terrorist act.
We direct ourselves to the media outlets that they should deliver the news of the facts of the barbaric government conduct against the defenceless Muslim women in Tatarstan and about the fabrication of charges and cases against them. They must also be subjective when publishing news about any matter related to Hizb ut Tahrir.
We direct ourselves to the Islamic media outlets in particular requesting them to carry to the Ummah the reality of the hatred of the Russian government towards the Muslims that has led it to move from persecuting the sincere men of the Ummah to now persecuting their wives and daughters.
We also direct ourselves to the Muslims in the entire world so that they witness how Russia extends its blood-stained hands towards the defenceless Allah-fearing Muslim sisters. And we request from the Muslim Ummah not to remain silent over the aggression against the Muslim sisters and to demand that Russia immediately ceases its court proceedings against them.
In conclusion, we direct ourselves to You, O Allah, to aid our Muslim sisters, to instil patience within them and to fill the hearts of the enemies of the Islamic Ummah with fear. O Allah hasten the establishment of the rightly guided Khilafah (caliphate) upon the methodology of the Prophethood so that the Muslims will return, under its shade, within the protection of the Khalifah who will provide protection to the Muslim sisters in the world. And we ask You O Allah to make your most severe punishment descend upon those who are the cause of the suffering of the Muslim mothers.
