The incident of six teenager’s deaths at the ‘Future Music Festival Asia 2014, Malaysia’ apparently has not given a lesson when Malaysia has permitted once again the organization of Mariah Carey’s concert. Mariah was scheduled to travel to Malaysia for the second time after her first concert a decade ago. Mariah is slated to perform a concert known as ‘ME. I AM MARIAH’ live in Malaysia 2014 in Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur at 8.00pm this 22nd October. Malaysia is one of the Asian countries chosen in the initiative of promoting her latest album, apart from Japan, Singapore, the Philippines and China. Malaysia Major Events in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture will organize the concert.
Comment:
This is the agenda that has continuously been shoved to our younger generation. Although it has been proven that the hedonism culture has distorted our youngster’s behavior and morals and also the youth in the West, this corrupt lifestyle is still promotes. The hedonistic lifestyle has taught humans to pursue material pleasures and do everything that can bring them enjoyment. This liberal ideology and lifestyle was heavily promoted in the Muslim lands as part of the Western cultural liberalization of Muslim countries conspiracy that runs parallel with colonial motifs. With the liberalization of culture, the society in the Muslim countries including Malaysia will lose their Muslim identity and they will wear Western clothing with full pride and engage in Western liberal behaviour without considering the halal or haram aspect of their actions. This is what the West desires which is the Muslims imitating them and eventually joining their way of life. In the end, colonization and imitation of the West will no longer be seen as a problem, but will be seen as a symbol of advancement.
The colonization of culture is not restricted by the authorities but are blossomed by entertainment promoted widely through the media. Consequently, the social ills spreading among adolescents are increasing from year to year whether quantitatively or qualitatively. This systematic damage would not have happened just like that. There must be a reason behind it. Allah Almighty says,
ظَهَرَ الْفَسَادُ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِي النَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ الَّذِي عَمِلُوا لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ
“Corruption has appeared in both land and sea because of what people’s own hands have brought about so that they may taste something of what they have done so that hopefully they will turn back.”
(ar-Rum: 41)
Are the lessons from the Future Music Festival Asia 2014 event which claimed six lives insufficient? O Muslim leaders, for how much longer do you want to be in cahoots with all kinds of evil consequences resulting from Islam not being implemented comprehensively when the power is in your hands? Do you not fear the Hereafter where God will question, where did you use each moment of power granted to you? Was it used to implement Islam or not?
All kinds of vices happening including the wild party mentioned is a complete result of Islam not being implemented comprehensively by the rulers. O followers of Muhammad, for how much longer can we bear to see the Muslim leaders’ treason and rejection of Islam during their time of ruling? Come, let us work together to restore the Islamic way of life by upholding the Islamic laws of Allah under the flag of the Caliphate. Hopefully by doing so, we will not hear or see any more blatant disobedience in the future.
