Let Zardari’s regime be the last oppressive rule before the Khilafah returns

“Tyranny will not remain subdued after me but for a little while, until it ascends and all that prevails of injustice will expel justice until the one who is born in the tyranny will not know other than it. Then Allah the blessed and Almighty will give justice and all that will come within justice will expel tyranny, until the one who is born within justice will not know other than it.” [Ahmed]

Indeed, Muslims today know nothing other than tyranny, oppression and usurping of their rights and yearn for justice, prosperity and security. But, Zardari’s government, like Musharraf’s before it, has squandered the huge potential of Pakistan, reducing Muslims to the status of orphans at the tables of misers.

With regards to the wealth of the people, Zardari’s government is stubbornly pursuing the policies of the Western colonialist institution, the IMF, plunging the Muslims into severe hardship. After the IMF demanded a rise in taxation to well over a trillion rupees, the government promptly implemented a carbon tax on petrol. When this was struck down by the Supreme Court, Zardari merely replaced it with another tax called the Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) by presidential order. Even if the PDL is abolished, it will merely be replaced by other taxes to fulfill the IMF demands. As for electricity, Muslims are left to live in darkness and unbearable heat, whilst industry and business collapse, because the government has defaulted in its payment to the private companies that produce electricity (IPPs), as admitted by the Minister for Water and Power, Raja Pervez Ashraf, on 11 July. And the government has devalued the currency in accordance to the IMF dictations, so the Rupee has become of little worth, leading to huge rises in prices of basic needs, such as food, at a time when most of the world is in the grip of deflation, with prices falling.

Zardari’s government’s actions are criminal because Pakistan is not poor, in fact, Allah سبحانه وتعالى has blessed Pakistan with wealth that even some of the major powers do not possess. To mention just a few of the blessings- Pakistan has the fourth largest coal reserves in the world, it is seventh in the world for copper production, the Reko Deq reserves in Balochistan have revealed over eighteen billion dollars worth of gold so far, Pakistan produces more wheat than the whole of Africa and as much as the whole of South America, it ranks in the top ten in the world for over twenty agriculture and livestock items, with only three quarters of its 29 million hectares of arable land currently cultivated. Yet, the Zardari government does not lift a finger to make the Muslims strong and self-reliant, but instead travels around the Western world at great tax-payers expense, with a begging bowl, so that there are more funds for them to loot and embezzle.

All that is required to change the situation of the Muslims is a sincere leadership that will govern by Islam. In the Khilafah, electricity and petrol will no longer be exploited by private interests, such as IPPs, but will be a public property which will be provided at the cost of its production and supply, without any taxation, providing cheaper energy for agriculture, industry and transport.

“Three things are not prohibited (from the people): waters, feeding pastures and fire (energy).” (Ibn Majah)

Moreover, by providing grants or loans without interest for anyone who can cultivate barren lands, through which they will come to own this land, the Khilafah will provide a boost in agricultural production and a means of livelihood for millions.

“Whosoever cultivated a land that is not owned by anybody, then he deserved it more.” (Bukhari)

This, O Muslims, is as far as the wealth of the Muslims is concerned. So, what of the security of the Muslims? Despite having the world’s seventh biggest army and over 29 million men that can be battle ready in six months, Pakistan’s security is violated by America with no response, but for face-saving condemnation. America strikes within Pakistan’s territory with drones and American intelligence roams free instigating bombings and chaos in the cities, just as it has done in Central America and Iraq. Moreover, America insists that Pakistan’s brave Muslim soldiers fight its war on its behalf, whilst its own soldiers are stricken by fear to such an extent that they commit suicide or drink alcohol until they lose all senses!

O Muslims of Pakistan!

Zardari’s government has plunged you into poverty, though you have immense wealth, and into chaos and insecurity, though you have sufficient force and strength. And Zardari will keep you drowning in misery, in the hope that you are not able to rise against him. But you must know that tyranny and oppression is not forever.

“Prophethood will last with you for as long as Allah wants it to last. Then there will be Khilafah according to the Method of Prophethood, and things will be as Allah wishes them to be. Then Allah will end it when He wishes. Then there will be hereditary rule, and things will be as Allah wishes them to be. Then Allah will end it when He wishes. Then there will be an oppressive rule, and things will be as Allah wishes them to be. Then Allah will end it when He wishes. Then there will be a Khilafah according to the method of Prophethood.” Then he صلى الله عليه وسلم fell silent.”

Indeed, this Ummah witnessed the “Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood,” the period of the Khulafa’a Rashida رضي الله عنهم, a time free from oppressive and tyrannical rule. The Ummah then witnessed the “hereditary rule” of the Ummaya, Abbasi and Uthmani Khilafahs, where although the rulers implemented Islam and were victorious against the kuffar, they tainted their rule with the sin of hereditary rule. And since the destruction of the Khilafah, on 28 Rajab 1342 (3 March 1924), until now, the Ummah is suffering the “oppressive rule,” a time of wicked and treacherous rulers who rule by other than Islam and ensure that the kuffar are dominant. But, consider O Muslims, RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم then spoke of the return of the “Khilafah on the method of the Prophethood,” may we witness it soon.

However, O Muslims, understand that this Khilafah will not descend from the skies, aloft on the shoulders of angels, rather it is an obligation that we must work and strive for. Just as we are obliged to make efforts to seek Rizq, even though Rizq is from Allah سبحانه وتعالى, we must work for the victory and dominance of the deen, knowing well that Allah سبحانه وتعالى alone is the One who grants the Nasr (Support). The Khilafah is not merely a nice idea, nor a good thing to happen, but an obligation from our Lord, about which we will be held to account on the day that is most certain, the Day of Judgment. Islam made it Fard that the Muslims rule by all that Allah سبحانه وتعالى has revealed in their affairs. Only an authority that rules by Islam exclusively and completely, the Khilafah, undertakes this matter. Allah سبحانه وتعالى ordered the Muslims decisively,

“And rule between them by all that which Allah revealed to you, and do not follow their vain desires away from the truth which came to you.” [Surah Al-Mai’dah 5:48]

Islam has made it Fard upon the Muslims that there must be a bayah to the Khaleefah. RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم established the importance of the bayah by tying it to the worst of all deaths, dying upon Jahilliyah, dying upon other than Islam,

“Whosoever dies without the bay’ah on his neck dies the death of Jahilliyah.” (Muslim)

You are not permitted by your Lord سبحانه وتعالى to watch passively as you are cut to pieces by oppressors and tyrants, spectators to your own misfortune. Nor should you wait, arms folded or heads in your hands, until the Americans replace one oppressive ruler for another, in an attempt to release some of your anger and frustration for a while. The path for true change lies before you and you must walk along it now. You have a powerful country and the deen of truth which will transform it into a world power. And you have a party that is sincere to Islam, aware of its method of ruling, sacrificing and bearing harsh treatment from the oppressive rulers, fearing none but Allah سبحانه وتعالى. RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم, as narrated in Saheeh Muslim on the authority of Thauban رضي الله عنه,

« لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ… »
“A party (Taifa) from my Ummah will be established upon the order of Allah, they will not be harmed by those who abandon them, until the order of Allah comes and they are so (victorious over the people.)”

You must join Hizb ut Tahrir, support its call and carry its demand for Nussrah for establishing the Khilafah to the people of power in the armed forces.

O People of Power! O Muslims of the Armed Forces!

Let the memory of the destruction of the Khilafah and the subsequent decades of oppressive rule spur you to make the change that only you can deliver overnight. Let Zardari be the last oppressive ruler that your people suffer and grant Hizb ut Tahrir the Nussrah for the re-establishment of the Khilafah, knowing that Allah سبحانه وتعالى is your Helper.

“Allah will certainly support those who support His cause, for indeed Allah is full of strength, exalted in might and able to enforce His will.” [Surah Al-Hajj 22: 40]
