Kudratullo Sotiboldiev Another Martyr in Uzbekistan

“Among the believers there are men who have been true to the contract they made with Allah. Some of them have fulfilled their pact by death and some are still waiting to do so, not having changed in any way at all”

(33:23)

The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir mourns the death of our brother Kudratullo Sotiboldiev, born in 1962, the father of three children, a native of the city of Margilan, Uzbekistan.

From the beginning of Hizb ut Tahrir’s work in Uzbekistan, the people warmly responded to the call – the different people, from different classes were drawn to the ideas of the Hizb. Our brother Kudratullo, rahimahu Allah, was among the first who responded to Hizb ut Tahrir’s call, he was from a pious family of scholars known to all for their God-fearingness. Kudratullo learned the knowledge of Arabic from the well-known Sheikh Abdul Hokim Vasiev in Central Asia.

Hizb ut Tahrir’s ideas about the reestablishment of the second righteous state gained the strength among the people, but the power of the tyrant Karimov hated Hizb ut Tahrir’s Shabab and launched a brutal war against Islam and the Muslims of the country. The mass persecutions of the Shabab began. Then, in 2000, Brother Kudratullo was arrested and sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment. After serving his sentence, they repeatedly prolonged his prison term, because of his unshakable position towards the enemy of Islam and Muslims in the face of the power of the tyrant Karimov.

Our brother, Rahimahu Allah, was in the prisons of the cities of Navoyi, Zarafshan, Byhara, Tashkent and Almalyk. These were the long years of testing his faith and convictions, which Kudratullo went through with the help of Allah (swt). After many years spent in the tyrant’s prisons, his body weakened and he fell ill. In 2015, Kudratullo was released on health grounds. The last years of his life, Kudratullo suffered greatly from the disease of cirrhosis of the liver.

On March 1, 2018, Kudratullo left this world moving to the mercy of Allah (swt). The relatives who washed the blessed body of our brother told that they found numerous injuries on the body from the former tortures in the prisons of the tyrannical regime of Karimov. The blood never froze, and the body remained soft and was not stiffened. The local sheikhs said that this was one of the blessed signs of martyrdom – we do not commend anyone to Allah.

The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir offer its deepest condolences to the family of our Brother Kudratullo. We ask Allah Almighty the Exalted to bestow patience and solace upon his family. We ask Allah (swt) for His immediate Nussrah, we call upon the army of Muslims to stand up for the protection of Islam and Muslims and the establishment of the second Khilafah Rashidah State (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood. We ask Allah the strength and power to liberate all Muslim prisoners and detainees – our brothers and sisters from the tyrants’ prisons. We ask an instant punishment for all the tyrants and their accomplices. Allah is All-Able over everything.

إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

“Indeed We Belong to Allah, and Indeed to Him We Will Return.”
