The political struggle in Lebanon has taken a dangerous dimension following the Lebanese Government’s decision concerning the telecommunications network belonging to Hizbullah and its decision to prosecute all those linked to its establishment, and following the response to this from the opposition which came under the framework of a general strike, mass protests, blockages of roads and the deployment of armed militia.

Thousands of demonstrators marched through the Gaza-Egypt border town of Rafah in a demonstration organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir Palestine last Friday [25 April]. Demonstrators demanded the destruction of the colonial border which the Egyptian government uses to uphold Israel's brutal strangulation of Gaza and the suffering of its people. They also called for the re-unification of the Islamic lands and the re-establishment of the Khilafah ruling system in the Muslim world as the way to overcome the boycott and liberate Palestine.

The following is a translation of the meaning of an Arabic leaflet distributed in the Muslim world after the recent summit held by Arab rulers.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Oh People: Your Rulers are Shameless!
When the US Summons them to Annapolis; Both Riyadh & Damascus Comply …
America Lines them up in two camps so Riyadh & Damascus Hate Each other.
The 20th Arab rulers’ summit held Saturday & Sunday, 29th &
30th March, 2008 in Damascus ended today…the participants traveled to
Syria, shook hands with each other with carpets rolled out for them.
The cameramen clicked their photographs, the rulers ate, drank, they
talked, wrote their notes and issued resolutions…then they hurriedly
returned without achieving anything worthwhile - they were simply
content with having attended the meeting. In fact, it was such a heavy
burden on the Ummah’s money spent on the rulers and their summit! As a
person who has lost his senses and sight, they termed the summit as a
mark of their solidarity.

O Muslims, only the Khilafah will silence the evil tongues that defame the Prophet of Islam صلى الله عليه وسلم
The German Interior Minister yesterday, Wednesday 27th February 2008,
called upon all European newspapers to re-publish the blasphemous
cartoons defaming RasulAllah صلى الله عليه وسلم. The cartoons first
printed by a Danish newspaper around two years ago, were republished a
few days back by no less than seventeen Danish newspapers! This reveals
that the hatred against Islam is neither merely a media issue nor is it
disconnected from the Western rulers, as they previously claimed.
Rather it is a Western issue where the entire West is involved in its
hatred against Islam and its people; moreover, what they conceal in
their hearts is even worse!

الَّذِينَ قَالَ لَهُمُ النَّاسُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ جَمَعُوا لَكُمْ فَاخْشَوْهُمْ فَزَادَهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَقَالُوا حَسْـبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
“Those (i.e. believers) to whom the people (hypocrites) said, "Verily,
the people (pagans) have gathered against you (a great army),
therefore, fear them." But it (only) increased them in Faith, and they
said:"Allâh (Alone) is Sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer
of affairs (for us)." [TMQ Aal Imran: 173]

In Hebron, 36-year-old Hisham Baradi died in hospital of a gunshot wound after Palestinian police shot him in cold blood. According to reports riot police and other security forces moved in on members of Hizb ut-Tahrir as soon as they left mosques in the cities of Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron aiming to march in demonstrations. The demonstrations were planned against the treacherous Annapolis Conference attended by Abbas and Arab leaders. May Allah (swt) give the brother jannah and give patience to his family and brothers. Truly the victory of Allah will come and it will not be delayed by a single second, with the will of Allah.

Critical times pass over the Islamic Ummah: hardship in life,
apprehension upon the outcome, threats from all directions, wars, big
and small, desecrations and savage pursuits from the foreign invader
and from his agents, the rulers of the Muslim lands. From East to West
the Ummah faces weakness, disgrace and humiliation; fragmentation,
division and loss; Palestine humiliated, Iraq torn, Afghanistan in
agony from the yoke of the invader and his savagery and from wars that
do not end; Sudan hit with factional fighting and civil wars; the Ummah
as a whole afflicted with the lashes of the whip of oppression, poverty
and disease which covers the Muslim lands, from Morocco in the West to
Indonesia in the East.

The work for the Khilafah Rashidah penetrates the obstacles of the
colonialist states and their agents, unaffected by the plots of America
or her ambassador in Lebanon
It is a glad tiding given by the Messenger of Allah (saw): “…then there
will be a Khilafah on the method of Prophethood” (Ahmad). That good
news – the hope, amidst the dark violent winds which besiege the Muslim
lands: from crushed and overwhelmed Palestine, to exhausted and
bleeding Iraq, to wartorn and fragmented Sudan, and Afghanistan
surrounded by invading armies, and then to Lebanon where there is
division without end and without hope and where the political
establishment, with its various wings, has not ceased in its move
towards the unknown, riddled with threats and warnings of division,
transgression, tribulations and assassinations. Amidst all this
darkness, Hizb ut-Tahrir proceeds ploughing ahead toward the goal of
salvation, the goal of liberation, the goal of al-Khilafah al-Rashidah,
working hard, night and day, in order to return the illumination of the
laws of the eminent Shari’ah to the reality of life, and to bless
humanity with the justice of Islam.

The Khilafah, which was destroyed by the colonialist kuffar on 28th
Rajab 1342 A.H, was not merely a historic event that occurred and had
its impact similar to any such event; it was a horrible tremor that
shook the Islamic world and the Muslims are still bearing with its
devastating consequences. The fall of the Khilafah State meant the fall
of the Muslims’ awe and prestige; and the demise of Khilafah implied
the end of their well-being and abandoned Muslims at the mercy of other
nations who looted them, pilfered their resources and tore their one
unified state into bits and pieces. Having been respected earlier, the
Muslims were now a humiliated lot. Truly, the Muslims can only seek
glory through the Sharee’ah of Allah (swt), and if they seek their
glory and prestige elsewhere, He (swt) will only put them to shame, He
(swt) says:
مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا
“Whosoever desires honour, power and glory, then to Allâh belong all
honour, power and glory [and one can get honour, power and glory only
by obeying and worshipping Allâh (Alone)]”. [TMQ Fatir:10]
