Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey explained the solution to the economic crisis in Turkey by organizing a press conference in Istanbul entitled: “Islamic Solutions to the Economic Crisis in Ten Points!” On Wednesday, January 05, 2022. Five brothers participated in the press conference: Islamic economist Haki Aran; Islamic economic expert M.Hanafi Yagmur; and the writer in the Radical Change Magazine Musa Bayoglu; and Editor-in-Chief of the Radical Change Magazine, Suleiman Ugurlu, and Mahmut Kar, Head of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Turkey, who emphasized the need for the urgent implementation of the 10-point Islamic solutions that would lead to a way out of the economic crisis.
The titles of the 10 points of the Islamic solutions are:
1- Inflation and the cost of living
2- The industrial sector, industrial policy and what should be done
3- Reviving agriculture and livestock
4- Providing job opportunities and reducing unemployment
5- Equitable distribution of income
6- A tax-free economy
7- Crushing bills
8- Reviving trade
9- Protection of public property and thrift measures
10- Abolition of international institutions and agreements
We are addressing the rulers and asking them to implement these Islamic solutions that we have made clear to the public:
O Rulers: The dire state of the economy is clear. Also, the new economic models that were put into practice for the solution, carry more burdens on the people and increase the wealth of the owners of capital and banks. Do you really think that it is fair to scoop the wealth yourselves while serving the people with a spoon?!
You present the sweat of the worker’s brow, the labor of the employee, and the profit of the merchant to the owners of capital on a silver platter. You are also squandering public property because of political fears and personal ambitions! You appear as if you are striving to eliminate the economic crisis, but you are again looking for solutions in capitalism, which is the source of the problem. Here are our Islamic solutions! Where each solution is based on a legal text. Now, immediately implement our proposals for such solution without wasting any more time! If you do this, you will have done the right thing for yourself and for your people. And if you are sincere in following the legal texts, then implement these proposals on the ground to solve the economic crisis!
We also appeal to the Muslims:
O Muslims: The only reason for poverty, destitution, increasing inflation and price hikes, and in short, the only reason that compels you to this servile life is the capitalist system. This system does not protect the people, but only protects the rich. And do not forget that this system is weaker than the spider’s web, and its fate is collapse and demise, Allah willing. There is no doubt that there is a certain time for everything. There is also no doubt that this corrupt capitalist system that oppresses humanity has a certain time as well. And every crisis that passes shortens its life more and more. And when the time ordained by Allah the Almighty comes, Capitalism will collapse just as Communism did before it. Likewise, everything in the world has a beginning; when Allah wills with his permission, the sun of Islam will shine on the second Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood, and then the economic system will be implemented on the ground in the Khilafah State, which is the Islamic system of government. Thus, what we must do is work together to establish the Khilafah Rashidah State, which will liberate the world from the clutches of Capitalism and provide stability, justice and security in Islamic countries in particular and the whole world in general.
Allah (swt) said:
[لِمِثْلِ هذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ الْعَامِلُونَ]
“For such ˹honour˺ all should strive.” [TMQ As-Safat: 61].
