The subject of brain drain and the Islamic competencies has long been a chronic dilemma that the Islamic Ummah suffers from; depriving it of those creative minds, which Western nations benefit from, specifically the greedy capitalists, who scoff at these energies in the production of what they like of goods or services, that the Ummah is disadvantaged of them, or they are exported to them at expensive back-breaking prices.

It is no secret to anyone with vision and insight that the migration of those minds is due to the political corruption in the Islamic world, and its resultant economic corruption. Thus, Muslims migrate to the West because they find this as an opportunity to utilize their creative minds in the various fields of science and knowledge. Therefore, the main reason behind the Islamic brain drain to the west is the man-made systems, whose sole interest is to plunder the wealth of Muslims for the benefit of their Western masters, and to fill their pockets and their bank accounts. They are not concerned about the production of wealth and developing it in the Muslim countries, which are filled with riches and experts. Though, if they had followed this approach, the Muslim world would have been the leading countries in various human industries. However, how far, how far; these systems are nothing more than lookouts to protect and monopolize the Ummah’s riches to be looted by the intercontinental Western companies, and brokers in other Western markets that are empty and hungry for everything in Muslims’ countries.

When given the size of the Islamic minds in the Western countries, one is affected by awesomeness. For example, the Arab countries contribute to one-third of the brain drain from the developing countries to the Western countries. Thus, 50% of the doctors, 23% of the engineers and 15% of the scientists of the total Arab graduate professionals migrate to Europe and the United States, and Canada. Arab doctors also constitute 34% of all the doctors working in England, and the United States, Canada and Britain, attract 75% of the Arab immigrants. Statistics indicate that 7350 scientists emigrated from Iraq to the west in the period from 1991 to 1998 because of the West’s embargo that was imposed on Iraq. In the first three years of the U.S. occupation of Iraq i.e. from 2003-2006, eighty-nine Iraqis university professors were assassinated. According to the Arab Labor Organization, there are 450,000 Arabs of graduate degrees holders immigrated to America and Europe during the last ten years, and that more than half of the Arab students who receive their higher studies abroad do not return to their home countries after graduation.

As for Pakistan, there are more than ten million Pakistanis living outside Pakistan, five million of them live in the West. It is known that the Western countries do not grant visas to their countries except to the owners of expertise that they lack. For example, according to official sources, in 2013, more than 300,000 of the educated and the holders of high degrees, and the experienced and high skilled personnel left Pakistan to work abroad, most of them to the west. It is clear from this example that Muslims played the biggest role in the construction of the advanced civilization in the West that brags about its scientific advancement in various fields. Perhaps this is what prevented it from expelling the Muslim immigrants, or open inspection camps, as did the Europeans Muslims in Andalusia before, in spite of the crusade war waged against Islam and Muslims!

It is certain that every expatriate is dreaming of a return and stability in his country, but commensurate with being a human being who has needs and requirements that he sought, in various aspects of life. But, is this available in the Muslim countries that have become free markets of western goods, a treasury house to save the crumbling Western economies and conflict yards between Western companies represented by the Western poles!!

Although Muslims who emigrate to the West appear to be migrated for a worldly benefit, but they have not disowned their Ummah or abandoned their responsibilities as Muslims towards their Ummah. Thus, above being serious in their lives, they do not accept to live on the margins of societies, and they are successful in their jobs and their social lives. The Westerners observe that in them, which prompted the greater number to either follow Islam, the religion that refine their characters and make them successful and distinct; or to envy them and die in rage from them because they see that Muslims have achieved what they could not achieve in spite of their difficult circumstances. Because of that, Muslim communities in the west are considered the most successful and cleanest residential communities. They are communities abound with the educated and the cultured, free of crime and vice, which is an example of communities the rest of the communities like to become like them. This idealism of the Muslim community in the West is what prompted the political and moral anomalies to weave conspiracies against these communities so that to prevent the Westerners from embracing the religion of the Muslim community in folds. Thus, they created a climate of fear of Islam and Muslims, what they call “Islamophobia”, and enacted several programs to melt them into the dissolved Western society… etc.

Despite Muslims living in the western world involuntarily, they have been feeling what the Ummah feels of pains, as Al-Mustafa صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

»تَرَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي تَرَاحُمِهِمْ وَتَوَادِّهِمْ وَتَعَاطُفِهِمْ كَمَثَلِ الْجَسَدِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى عُضْو تَدَاعَى لَهُ سَائِرُ جَسَدِهِ بِالسَّهَرِ وَالْحُمَّى«

“You see the believers as regards their being merciful and kind among themselves, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is ill then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it”

And it sprung among them some who carry the distress of their Ummah and carried the message of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims, and Islam became competing with the Christian majority in many Western countries due to the multitude of people who entered Islam.

The Muslim rulers, the agents of the west, and those smitten by the western civilization among the journalists and the intellectuals are collaborators with their masters, the politically and morally anomalous Westerners, to accuse Muslims in the West, so that they will turn them back from their Deen if they are able or they spoil them and dissolve them into the rotten Western civilization. Consequently, to turn them into castoff that does not have any weight or noble role to play towards their Ummah and the humanity. So they accuse them of lackeys to the west while they are the ones who are the agents:

كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ إِنْ يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا

“Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; they speak not except a lie”

(Al-Kahf: 5)

They are the ones who spend most of their time in the West relaxing and spending the Ummah’s wealth on their pleasure. They are not worried about finding a visa to Europe or America, since it is always present on their red passports, and why not as they are more loyal to the west than the Westerners themselves?! However, shamelessly they accuse Muslims to be loyal to the West, even though they are the cause of their migration to the West, and they are the only obstacle preventing their return to the bosom of their Ummah in the Muslim world.

Yes, the Muslim communities in the Western world, including the message carriers among the Ummah of Islam has not and will not give up one day of their Deen or their Ummah, as did the rulers of the Muslims abandoned the Islamic Ummah and show open hostility towards it. They are waiting for the day the Khilafah State is established, by which Islam and its people are dignified, to find most of them if not all of them returning on the first plane flying to it or a ship sailing towards it.
