A Dhaka Court on Wednesday granted a seven-day remand to Dr Golam Haider Rasul, who was arrested on suspicion of being a policymaker of banned militant Islamist organisation Hizb-ut-Tahrir Bangladesh.
Khandokar Rejaul, officer-in-charge of Uttara Police Station confirmed it to The Daily Star.
Rapid Action Battalion arrested the physician of United Hospital from his residence in Uttara Sector-3 on Tuesday, and recovered large numbers of leaflets and books of the banned organisation from his house.
