Hizb-ut-Tahrir America was honored to have organized a Khilafah Conference on July 19th in Chicago at the Oak Lawn Hilton. The conference was held to commemorate the 88th anniversary of the abolishment of the Khilafah in Istanbul in 1342 H (1924 AC). The theme of the conference was 'The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam'.
This theme was chosen to reflect two parallel trends in the global arena. On the one hand, Capitalism, as an ideology and system of economy, is experiencing serious problems which have hit the financial backbone of the system. On the other side, the world is also witnessing a steady revival of Islam and especially the call for Islam to be implemented as a way of life to such extent that a prominent commentator in the US, Patrick Buchanan, called the phenomenon "An Idea Whose Time Has Come."

As-salaamu'alaykum, We should explain that this video was cut due to human error or an oversight. The very beginning and ending were cut. The beginning contained the salutations and the ending talked about the rise of an alternative--Islam to the world, which would usher in a much needed way of life for all of humanity. |

Asalamu Alejkum On the 7th video down at 4:03 the map forgot to include all the Balkans that were under the Khilafah for hundreds of years.....the lands that now are called Greece, Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia. |
