REPORT COMING SOON: The Khilafah's Energy Policy
Energy is of critical importance in the 21st century, without it, today's transportation, industry and agriculture could not exist. Without the harnessing of energy the industrial revolution may not have taken place. Due to this energy geopolitics is at centre of the struggle between nations. Energy trends appear to indicate more and more nation fighting for a dwindling set of energy resources. The emergence of the Khilafah state as predicted by several Western think tanks will have to contend with such trends and develop a set of coherent polices to deal with such an eventuality. The report analyses the trends in fossil fuels and the trends in renewable energy. It also highlights the emerging trends in geopolitical thinking and the nations that dominate energy consumption. The report also highlights the energy resources the Muslim world posses and the possible polices a future Khilafah could adopt in order to become self-sufficient and the leading nation in the world.

Mr. Adnan Khan, I'm glad that renewable energy is given consideration, a field of technology which I'm working on. Haven't really listened to the interview but i am looking forward to the report. As muslims longing for the return of the State, we should be working towards mastering this technology, developing them from scratch if we have to. There should be people with the expertise or who are developing the expertise (be it policy makers or technology developers) from now so that when the State emerges, the technology can be utilised straight away. Jazakallah for the upcoming policy report.. |

3500 NOT 30 000 barrels of oil a day is needed to power Ski Dubai iwhich ncludes the power needed to power the Mall of the Emirates of which Ski Dubai is a part. Also the 16000 MW of power represents the total requirement for Pakistan as far as its electricity requirement and Mangla Dam provides approx 1500 MW’s of power. There is still approx 2500 MW shortfall and hence this indicates a lack of future proofing when the project was designed in the 1960’s under World Bank funding. Clearly this demonstrates a lack of vision and looking after the affairs when compared against the thorough future planning activity that occurs in the West. |
