The People of Sinai who Suffered Decades of Oppression are Exposed to Collective Punishment at the Hands of those Supposed to Defend them

To the observer, Sinai seems to be a completely closed off area to any attempt to get information of the army’s operations there against what they call “terrorism”; although the authorities announce almost on a daily basis the killing of many of the “terrorist” elements. However, it is difficult to confirm this information from an independent source, given that the target areas are off-limits to anyone; this indicates that most of the killings are from the ranks of our people in Sinai, and not from the ranks of the militants as claimed by the official military spokesperson. The security crackdown launched by the army and police forces in Sinai months ago under the banner of the fight against terrorism foretells of a humanitarian catastrophe that has no bounds. General Sisi, previously said in a leaked recording regarding the security confrontations in Sinai that they can lead to its secession, as what took place in Sudan before, He warned that this leads to the presence of retaliation between the army and the people of Sinai; but he did not take heed of this warning and his troops carried out unprecedented destruction to civilian homes and mosques in the city of Rafah in northern Sinai, particularly in the village of Mahdia, south of Rafah, where security forces have burned nearly sixty houses as well as caused the displacement of thousands of people in that region.

There is no doubt that the one who pays the price for the conflict today, between supporters of the isolated President Mohammad Morsi and those who overthrew him, are the people of Sinai in particular. In recent days, there has been many broadcasts of horrific scenes of what is happening in Sinai in social media sites. And although the Egyptian army confirms in many of its statements that the soldiers were exposed to ambushes resulting in the killing and wounding of many of them, it cannot be a justification in any way to carry out violations against civilians of our people in Sinai in the form of unprecedented collective punishment.

It is well known that in the month of March, a delegation comprising of senior officers in the Egyptian army and foreign ministry officials visited the Jewish entity to coordinate with it the introduction of modern equipment to areas in Sinai and to increase the number of troops there to counter the threat of so-called terrorism. Egyptian Military Spokesman admitted to the visit after the Haaretz Israeli newspaper uncovered it; yet he denied that the meeting touched on any topics related to military cooperation, but acknowledged that there is coordination with the Jewish entity through a means of contact between them. Is it not unfortunate that the Army of Egypt the Kenanah is coordinating with the most hostile to those who believe? And against whom?! Against our people in Sinai who have demonstrated strength and resilience in the face of years of the repugnant Israeli occupation, and who have long suffered from injustice, marginalization and negligence in the development plans for decades under successive governments.

The Khilafah State alone will restore the security and safety of all people in Egypt and across Sinai; alone it will cut off the roots of the monstrous Jewish entity that laughs with joy watching the Egyptian army safeguarding its security while directing their weapons towards their sons. The Khilafah alone will enable the return of the Egyptian army to liberate the land of Isra’ Wa Mi’raj from the abomination of the Jewish entity as it liberated it before under the leadership of Salahudin Al-Ayubi.

O loyal officers rush and fulfill your duty to protect this Ummah and give support to this Deen, and establish the rule of Islam under the Khilafah State, to attain the pleasure of Allah Almighty.

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life. And know that Allah intervenes between a man and his heart and that to Him you will be gathered”
